The countdown for the release of the PLAAK Core App draws nearer by the day. We’re super excited for having the chance to have a talk with Ryan Van Dyk, a drag superstar and Blockchain enthusiast who’s involved with PLAAK in a first of a kind crypto sponsorship in sports.

Aiming to get another view on the excitement preceding a new chapter in PLAAK’s history, we asked Ryan about his feelings entering a new season. All the alchemy takes place behind the scenes but the real magic happens when you leave the crowd in awe.

Two perspectives on anticipation

When a new season starts for Ryan, he gets the jitters as he’s out of the car for a good few months. It’s understandable the stress escalates while being left in the staging lanes, as nobody likes the waiting process. The moment he turns the engine on, he regains composure.

At PLAAK, there’s been a while since our last release, patiently waiting to present the PLAAK Core App to a new market and embrace new opportunities at full-throttle.

Our minds are racing to have all bases covered come launch date. The lone fact where users needn’t know the technicalities but are made for them to safely enjoy the ride is a challenge left for us to overcome. We have to hit all the right notes and fine-tune our presentation to predict what gets attention and sparks the curiosity of clients.

With the motor up and running and Ryan in command, he feels a little “result nervous”. We couldn’t have said that better. All the preparation about to be put to the test, his passion for the sport takes over. We’re sure anyone put in the driver’s seat where he wants to do the crowd justice can relate.

Green means go, and Ryan is in full focus, as he has to put the pedal to the metal with pinpoint precision. The Van Dyk family has fuel in their veins and drag racing needs accuracy seen only in James Bond movies. It’s not all about running at full speed, as Ryan has to predefine his estimated lap time and maneuver the engine to have control of the situation. Drag racers resort to technology, taking factors such as humidity, air pressure and wind into account.

With the PLAAK Core, we have to learn and expand on the go, steer the team and our users in the right direction. Our customer support and ticketing systems are upgraded to meet an increase in users and keep our customer satisfaction at bay. Without a shadow of a doubt, with incoming work and a good overview of operations, the managerial, coordinative and support staff have communication established to make sure our response time is as good as Ryan’s. We’re migrating to more sophisticated ticketing systems and are ready to jump-start the PLAAK Apps. Our products have been seasoned and improved, ensuring every user that boards the ship is here to stay.

When the run is done and the parachutes come out, Ryan can enjoy the rest of the day with a sense of accomplishment. With the Core, PLAAK has a product we believe will advertise itself once it “hits the street”. We have ways to go and know we are outclassing competition but when we reach our destination depends on keeping our composure during the journey. It just drives us to work harder. Only once we’re there, we can indulge in a quick breather.
