Getting Ready for some Creative Placemaking in Milwaukee

We’re honored to be among those selected to present at the Main Street Now conference hosted by the National Main Street Center in Milwaukee. Our process of getting ready is a bit different from most participants. For starters, we found around 20 shipping pallets. Then we broke them down and carefully measured and assembled the pieces in to kits.

On Sunday we will travel 600 miles to Milwaukee. The kits we bring will be assembled in to “Appalachian Chairs” during the Creative Placemaking Bootcamp on Tues May 24 from 12:30 to 3. If you happen to be in Milwaukee and attending the conference, come out and build some chairs with us while learning about the power of placemaking to transform your downtown, neighborhood, city and region.
