Fallow

Fallow, which opened its permanent home in St. James’s Market in 2021, was founded by three individuals in 2019. Conscious culinary creativity meets hospitality experience and passion in the restaurant, which has won numerous awards, including the Marie Claire and GQ Sustainable Restaurant of the Year and the Caterer Award for Best New Restaurant.

Chefs Jack and Will, both former Dinner by Heston chefs, creatively approach sustainable cooking by using often-discarded cuts or ingredients in surprising new ways that will challenge how you think about waste reduction.

The restaurant’s signature cod’s head in Sriracha butter sauce is a bona fide classic, while their dairy cow burger is one of the best in town. Don’t forget to check out their famous recipe for fried corn ribs!

Location: 52 Haymarket, St. James’s, London SW1Y 4RP.

Native

Ivan Tisdall-Downes and Imogen Davis, the young pioneers of British wild food, bring their Native concept to Mayfair within the Browns Fashion flagship store on Brook Street. The foraging pair has taken their restaurant from Covent Garden to Borough, then to an island in Essex, serving colourful and beautifully plated dishes dressed with whatever they’ve been able to find in the wild spots in and around the capital, alongside an array of zingy cocktails.

London’s stylish eco-restaurant menu features seasonal dishes, foraged cocktails, and natural wines, offering a snapshot of the country’s best produce from its farms, fields, and coastlines. Native’s classic wood pigeon kebab and tempura-coated carrot tops are dishes not to be missed.

Location: Browns 39, Brook St, London W1K 4JE.
