In the past, celebrity was exclusively associated with actors, singers, and sports stars, but in recent years there has been an increase in the popularity of food shows. As the world’s culinary experts entertain us and expand their brands onto social media, their bank accounts have grown too. Here is a look at the most successful celebrity chefs in the UK.

Heston Marc Blumenthal
As Head Chef at The Fat Duck, Heston has a reputation as an extraordinary British Celebrity chef, having distributed various books. His most memorable book was named Family Food which addressed new cooking strategies in 2000. In 2006 he published Heston Blumenthal: In Search of Perfection (in which he finds the most effective way to prepare exemplary dishes, such as delicious fried fish and French fries and Black Forest gateau).

Gordon James Ramsay
Scottish by birth, at 31 years old, Ramsay set up his own namesake eatery Café Gordon Ramsay. This eatery immediately got the most esteemed recognition in the culinary world with three Michelin stars. According to estimates, the much-loved father-of-five is now worth £171 million due to his 102 published cookbooks, 35 restaurants, and 21-year broadcast career. Ramsay’s restaurants have received an extraordinary 16 Michelin stars. Along with his incredible success in the kitchen, Gordon Ramsay has captured TV audiences worldwide via 32 television shows.

Michael-Caines
Michael Caines is one of the best-known chefs in England. He heads the kitchen at Gidleigh Park and has received two Michelin stars for his cooking. Michael only uses the best locally sourced produce and fixings. He has cooked at 10 Downing Street and won the AA Chef of the Year award in 2007. In 2006, Michael was awarded an MBE for his exceptional administration in the hospitality industry. He is focusing his time on a Grade II listed Georgian manor in the Exe estuary, Devon, where he is making his own ranch-style home.

Jason Atherton
Jason Atherton is among the top 10 chefs in the UK. He started off as an amazing culinary specialist in el Bulli with chefs such as Pierre Koffmann, Marco Pierre White, Nico Ladenis, Ferran Adria, and Marco Polo, before joining the Gordon Ramsay Group in 2001. At his Pollen Street Social restaurant, he got a Michelin Star in 2011 and went on to open Maze in London, where he coordinated the openings of five more Maze diners. He was awarded the title of Culinary Master of The Yearby Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine, which resembles winning an Oscar for a chef.

Jamie Oliver
Essex cheeky chappie Jamie Oliver has an impressive career spanning over 21 years. The chef has made his fortune from a series of successful cookbooks and TV shows, earning him over £233 million. In his first appearance on television, he worked at the River Café in London. After that, he gained considerable fame in a hit cooking show called, The Naked Chef. Several cookbooks have been written, and restaurants have been opened since then. Throughout the 2000s, he revolutionised school lunches in the UK with his four-episode documentary series Jamie’s School Dinners, and he is considered the VIP chef among top British Chefs.

Gino D’Acampo

Chef and funny man Gino D’Acampo rose to fame in the UK with his Italian-inspired recipes and dishes, regularly appearing on ITV’s This Morning and Celebrity Juice. The charismatic chef has 12 cookbooks to his name, 37 restaurants and a TV career spanning over 18 years, resulting in a whopping £7,787,500 fortune. His restaurants are also moderately priced, with the most expensive main course on the menu costing £29.50.

Michel Roux Jr.
Michel Roux is one of the world’s most famous French-English chefs. Michel has a profound appreciation for the foundations of French cuisine. The name Roux is interchangeable with French-style Haute cuisine in Britain. Roux has authored a number of books, including Le Gavroche Cookbook, The Marathon Chef, and Matching Food and Wine, which won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award for best book on shaping wine.

Richard Corrigan
A well-known British celebrity chef, Richard Corrigan was a Michelin star cooking master at Corrigan Restaurant, Mayfair in London, and Bentley’s Sea Grill in Harrods. Corrigan also worked as the head cooking expert at Mulligan’s in Mayfair and was given his most memorable Michelin star in 1994 as the head cook at Fulham Road in Fulham. Richard got his second star at Lindsay House in Soho in 1997. He has cooked for the Queen twice, served on British Airways Concorde, and is a Chef’s Alliance Spokesperson for Slow Food.

Brian Turner
Brian Turner is a well-known chef who appeared as a cook on BBC2’s famous show ‘Ready Steady Cook’ beginning in 1994. He has also run other popular cooking shows. The chef has worked at various restaurants in London. He most notably opened the Greenhouse restaurant in Mayfair. It was a hangout for chefs, including Gary Rhodes, Shaun Hill, and Paul Merrett. He was awarded a CBE in 2002 for his work in the food industry. Brian is also chairman of the Academy of Culinary Arts and the UK Hospitality Skills Board.
