Submit to Planar Shift Vol. I Iss. II

We are currently accepting submissions to our second issue, Planar Shift Vol. I Iss. II.

The theme: transformation.

How does transformation play a role in your story? Do creatures shift and change and embody new characteristics? Does the setting change and alter based on the events that unravel? This theme is however you interpret it.

The deadline: May 15, 2018

What we’re looking for

Planar Shift seeks to share and highlight the literary qualities of original RPG adventures. Submissions must be playable modules, and follow an existing rule-set. If you’re not sure what counts, we follow the same guidelines as DriveThruRPG and associated publishers.

NOTE: If your RPG is chosen for publication, we will link to where your module can be downloaded.

What’s in an issue?

An issue of Planar Shift includes posts featuring original modules and their authors, pertaining to the chosen theme for that issue. We do not publish full modules. Each feature post will link to where the module can be purchased or downloaded.

What we want:

• Original one-shots
• Contained excerpts from full campaigns

Your submission MUST include:

• Your module. Preferred format is .PDF. If the module is already published, you must include a link to it.
• High-resolution cover art. Be sure that you have properly licensed all of the art you use. Planar Shift is not responsible for copyright infringement.
• A brief paragraph describing your module and what inspired you.
• A short bio, your preferred byline/pen name, and a high-resolution headshot.

Submissions that do not follow these instructions will be immediately disqualified.

Planar Shift is published digitally once a quarter, and has the following schedule:

Submission Dates

• February 15, 2018 for March 2018 issue
• May 15, 2018 for June 2018 issue
• August 15, 2018 for September 2018 issue
• November 15, 2018 for December 2018 issue

Response Time

Our response time varies, but we will reply to you around three weeks after receiving your submission.

If your story is accepted, we will follow up with you via email.

Rights

Copyright remains yours (and that of Wizards of the Coast/Star Wars/etc.) at all times. We simply ask for the right to link to your story on our website, along with additional information provided by you.

Payment

Planar Shift does not currently pay.
