It seemed fitting to make the first issue of Planar Shift all about elements; it’s almost impossible to find a role-play adventure that doesn’t involve elements in some way. From tumultuous storms to impenetrable stone to sulfurous volcanoes, elements provide obstacles and powers to all players who encounter them. That’s what this issue seeks to explore: how writers and game designers harness the elements in their original stories and character designs.
