Planet 4 will be a website. Integrated, mobile first and easy-to-consume, but a website, nonetheless. And when developing web portals you can be sure that shortenings, acronyms and a Matrix lexicon will flourish on the way.

When embarking on a new project, the risk of adopting CC, FTE, SMART and many others without making sure that everyone knows what they mean is quite high. We’d like to avoid that awkward moment in which, despite being aware of the context, you find yourself Googling the acronym you just read.

In our constantly evolving Planet 4 Wiki page we inserted a first set of acronyms that will be used in the next months. This list will help you not only to familiarize a bit more with webbie and project terminology, but also to get a grasp on what is the current phase or what will be the next.

This glossary will grow as Planet 4 will take shape. You can be sure that we already forgot some, and that’s when you can contribute. Should you notice some gaps or mistakes, please don’t hesitate to directly edit the source list, comment right here below or even tweet at #GPP4. Changes will be replicated in the Wiki section.

You are also very welcome to express your WTH moment in the same way in case you notice acronyms’ misuse, overuse or drift away from their original purpose: simplify reader’s lives.
