Planetary Liberation — A Revolution of Mind and Heart
What we need more than anything is culture change towards the social good. That will require a revolution of mind, heart, and collective consciousness.
I have been on the Web for a very long time (since the early 90s), and I have collected quite an audience. I also participate in and study fringe cultures and movements (Occupy, Anonymous, #Disclosure, etc.), as well as information activism and culture hacking. I am taking what I have learned to create a new movement for planetary liberation: a revolution of mind and heart. Things are scary right now, but there is a way out of the darkness. We must free ourselves from fear, negativity, and hatred. We must also begin painting visions of a more beautiful world that works for everyone. It is clear what the right things to do are — the question is, how do we move beyond cultural gridlock and start creating real change? I think it starts with changing hearts and minds. We need to know change is possible, but how do we make it happen? What I know works is incremental change, but we need to rally.
Vision
The Planetary Liberation Force (PLF) is a grassroots effort to organize those interested in supporting planetary liberation. To be liberated means to be able to rise above basic survival needs into self-actualization and the expansion of individual and group consciousness. To do so we need to leave behind destructive and divisive habits and practices that hamper our ability to evolve as a species. In short, free yourself, then help free our world.
Mission
To promote non-violent, love-based higher consciousness, offer tools and techniques to raise individual and planetary vibration, and to build a shared vision of what our liberated world looks like. Also, to support and promote associated efforts, and stand in solidarity with those fighting for their own liberation from scarcity and violence thinking. We gather around a unity of purpose: to co-create the world we know is right and good for all.
Principles
- Leaving fear, hate, war, violence and scarcity thinking behind us
- Developing equitable and exploitation- free economic systems focused on abundance and prosperity for everyone
- Focusing on renewable resources and healing the planet
- Fostering a global culture of tolerance and acceptance
- Prioritizing truth over opinion and rhetoric; supporting those who spread truth
- Strengthening infrastructure like education, scientific and technical research, and the social safety net
- Illuminating the big picture and our place in the cosmos; considering the possibility of benevolent life beyond our own planet
- Being open to progress and positive change; encouraging rational discourse and collaborative thinking while respecting diverse points of view
- Utilizing scientific and technological advances to thoughtfully create a better future
- Nurturing other humans into actualizing their potential and highest creative expression
- Remembering that we are all more alike than we are different: we love the same, hope the same, and struggle the same
- Loving more, laughing more, and trying to focus on what’s great in our world, while simultaneously looking to fix the big problems
- Going meta, meaning rising above traditional boundaries like nation, ethnicity, and religious or political beliefs
- Opening minds and hearts, and having faith that together we can create the future we want to inhabit and leave to future generations
- Taking inspiration from non-fictional and fictional visions for alternate realities based on love, peace, abundance, and prosperity
- Working to awaken oneself and other humans from the nightmare of an upside-down world run by interests determined to contain and enslave humanity
