Greetings, citizens! Let’s look back at the exciting events and developments that took place in the Planet Atmos community this week. From competitive game nights to collaborations with partners and community initiatives, there was no shortage of action. We also made an update to our game night routine thanks to a suggestion from this week’s highlighted community member. Let’s get into it.

Game Night Flight Club

Another competitive round of aerial races took place in the Planet Atmos discord for this week’s ExoGP Game Night. After a few minor modifications to the build from the latest patch updates, our Pilots were ready to battle it out on the chosen track for rewards and bragging rights. This week’s duck-selected track was our OG course from the Canyon Blitz tournament, Manta, which is a shorter race than the other tracks.

In addition to our own game night event, our friends Paladins DAO hosted a night of ExoGP with their community this week as well. Planet Atmos team members were eager to join their event for both sport and support. We gave them ten MKIV Genesis Exos which they raffled off to race winners, content creators, and participants after the event.

And throwing it back to the weekend, our friend’s at Catalyst hosted an extensive Saturday morning gaming session for their community. We got to play and connect with new pilots, including Master Chef RamenCash who was present for that event and later in the week at our game night. We appreciate all the interest and support from our partners and friends.

Rise and Fly with MGG

On Tuesday, our community partner MetaGaming Guild invited us to showcase the world of ExoGP and play with their crew. It was an early morning flight schedule for members of the Planet Atmos team as the MGG community is based largely on the opposite end of the timezone spectrum. Community interest was high, with a wide range of topics — from Season Zero, to the Planet Atmos ecosystem, to tips for cutting down race times in game.

Web3 Olympics

We announced a unique collaboration with Animoca and nWay Games in support of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Olympics are going on-chain this year, or at least their mascots are. You can own an official piece of the Olympic Games with the Paris 2024 Mascot NFT digital pins, and they’re more than just collectibles. Stay tuned for more info about how we’re getting involved and what exclusive benefits these digital pins can give you as a Pilot on Planet Atmos.

Community Highlight

For this week’s community member call-out, we want to recognize one of our new members, gelopogi. They’ve already been showing great promise as they climb the ExoGP leaderboards and they were an active participant during our recent AMA with MGG. In addition, they recently made an excellent suggestion to help balance the playing field during our game night which we began incorporating this week!

Our top racers have their own Team-affiliated Exos with varying specs, but not all of our Pilots do. Thanks to gelopogi’s suggestion, we now begin our game nights with a “starter suit race” in which all participants must complete one race using the same Exo starter suit with the same specs. Thanks for the idea, and thanks for being with us on Planet Atmos, gelopogi!
