Community Update 09.06.24 — Colossal Collisions
This week, we partnered with CARV, Tracker Gaming, and Web3 Gaming Frontier, introducing ExoGP to their communities and participating in races. Val Valiant reclaimed the ExoGP Game Night Champion title, while also securing the best lap time on the selected track, Manta, at this week’s event. Planet Atmos Founder and CEO Kevin Beauregard joined a Web3 Gaming Space hosted by PARAVOX, along with representatives from Aurory, Genopets, and Dark Times.
ExoGP Game Night Roundup
It’s hard to believe we’ve hosted ten weeks of ExoGP Game Nights for Season Zero already, and yet here we are preparing for #11. This week was another barn burner, teeming with colossal collisions, incendiary explosions, and epic displays of aerial artistry.
Val Valiant took back their Game Night Champion crown from Chomoz, who was the top dog in last week’s event. Val also scored the best lap of the night on our chosen track, Manta, with Chomoz and Stark rounding out the top three. Stark and Val each received an exclusive physical art print from Planet Atmos and Val added another MKIV Genesis Exo to their garage, all courtesy of the ducks. Congratulations to our winners! We look forward to seeing you all next Thursday for our next Game Night.
Partnership Games
In addition to our own weekly Game Nights, the Planet Atmos team has been having an absolute blast introducing ExoGP to our growing list of partner communities and hitting the tracks with them for some friendly competition. This week, we put our thrusters to the test and joined gaming events with three of our partners — sharing tips, making friends, and bumping jetpacks along the way.
We had a massive turnout with CARV on Tuesday, sharing our game and our story with over 250 of their awesome community members. Later in the day, we hung out with the Turkish-based Tracker Gaming community. We put Google Translate to the test, connecting with folks, and answering their questions about the game and the controls. We also joined Web3 Gaming Frontier for their community gaming event this week to give them an overview of the game and show off different variations of the MKIV Genesis Exos.
Spaces with PARAVOX
Planet Atmos Founder and CEO Kevin Beauregard was invited to join Aurory, Genopets, and Dark Times for a Web3 Gaming Space with the folks behind PARAVOX. PARAVOX is a 3v3 Arena Third-Person Shooter game that launched in August. The discussion centered around player retention and the delicate dance between marketing, gameplay, and incentivised habits within the Web3 Gaming space. And the most important advice of the chat came from the Aurory team, “You need to milk the cow when the cow is on your land.” You can listen back to the recording here if you missed it live.
Community Highlight
For our community member call-out, we want to give a shout to NERO for their enthusiasm and engagement. They’ve become an active community member since recently joining our ranks, asking questions, providing support for other members, and joining our live events. NERO also shared a solution they found for using other controllers, which we’ve added to our Onboarding documentation. They’ve already won a few prizes too, including a physical copy of the Exordium Anthology book, which includes Chapters 1–3 plus a collection of WIP sketches and behind the scenes work from the artists that went into the comics and the game. Glad to have you aboard, NERO!
