Community Update 09.13.24 — Wild Worlds
This week, our Game Night featured an earlier race time to accommodate a different set of participants, resulting in a mix of new and familiar faces. We joined an ExoGP gaming event with the MFNT Guild and our collaboration with Wilder World involved high-performance racing and the exchange of Odyssey Shards and Exo suits. We also give kudos to an old friend.
ExoGP Game Night Roundup
For this week’s Game Night, we changed things up a bit with an earlier time to give folks who can’t normally attend our regular event an opportunity to participate. It was nice to see some new faces as well as members of the old guard. We will continue to test out different times for events and audit the response from our global community to see what works best for everyone who wants to be involved.
A different time didn’t stop Chomoz from showing up to reclaim his Game Night Champion role after coming in a close 2nd last week. Chomoz also took the crown for having the fastest lap on this week’s chosen track, Dawn, coming in at 01:04.2070. Second place went to Stark, with newcomer Lunchbox, who recently joined our squadron from the Incite Mill community, finishing right behind to snag third place on the ExoGP podium. As always, we gave away prizes to our best racers and rewards to all of our participants, with added chances to win an exclusive art print and/or an Exo. Congrats to all of our winners and many thanks to Luke Franks for tagging in as Duck Race Announcer and giving Howard Cosell a solid run for his money.
Partnership Games
We had a great time on Saturday connecting with the MFNT Guild, demonstrating ExoGP and running some races with them. They competed against one another during the event for a chance to win one of several MKIV Genesis Exos up for grabs. Congrats to the best Pilots of the night!
On Tuesday, we jumped over to Wilder World, where we exited our Exos to get behind the wheel of some high-performance cars and cruise the streets of Wiami. The Wilder World crew gave the community a code good for 300 Odyssey Shards, and we gave away Exo suits to bring in some new pilots. We had a great time and look forward to returning to the sky to play ExoGP with them in the next round. We have a lot more community collabs, events, and partnership activations brewing on the horizon and can’t wait to share more with you soon.
Community Highlight
Although they’ve been featured here in the past, we want to share our appreciation for one of our longtime members and the very first Pilot to break the 1-minute lap time on any ExoGP course ever, Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrots. They were here for our first tournament, Canyon Blitz, and have been making their best efforts to show up for Game Nights even when life gets in the way. When Whiskey shows up, it’s like seeing Norm from Cheers and we’re always glad they came.
