Citizens,

It’s been another exciting week here on Planet Atmos as we continue building this world and share it with you, our community. It’s still early days for Planet Atmos, and we’re incredibly excited to continue building with you all.

MKIV Datacard AMA

On Tuesday, July 12th Atmos Labs’ Founder & CEO Kevin Beauregard & VP of Game Design, Dylan Bushnell hosted an AMA on the MKIV Datacard. Expanding on questions asked by the community following last week’s Datacard reveal, we took a deeper dive into the Datacard, explaining more about its utility and place within Atmos’ history.

We had many great questions from different members of the community, including whether or not the Datacard will be burned when minting an Exo once they become available. The Datacard will not be burned during the mint because, as Kevin stated, “We look at the Datacard as the first piece of Atmosian history and we don’t want to destroy it without good reason.”

We also learned a lot more about the upcoming comic series and the first competitive game on Atmos, ExoGP. If you were unable to attend or you want to hear it again, you can listen to the full recording on our Twitter page and/or the social media channel of the Discord. If you have questions you’d like to see answered in an upcoming AMA, we encourage you to post them in the ‘AMA Questions’ channel of our Discord — we will open this channel up again after announcing our next AMA.

The enthusiasm within our community continues to grow and we greatly appreciate everyone’s eagerness to participate in helping out the community as volunteer moderators. We are close to opening up a trial run of the volunteer model and we will inform everyone about it very soon. As we are sure everyone can appreciate, we want to be extremely careful with selecting community moderators to keep all of our community members as safe as possible.

Community Highlights

This week we’d like to recognize a few of our outstanding citizens:
@原来是你 (It’s You) for their consistency as a very active member of our community, especially within the Chinese language channel.

@Canny20 has offered up some really great dialogue and questions this week, some of which were answered in the aforementioned AMA.

Additionally, we’d like to call out @Tradesgiving for the second week in a row for their ongoing activity within the community and for the Planet Atmos highlights in their newsletters.

We are always grateful for everyone’s participation and engagement. We look forward to featuring additional community content here in the future.

More to come

Next week, the Planet Atmos team returns to New York for the Bloomberg Crypto Summit. Kevin Beauregard will be speaking on a panel entitled “Web3, Blockchain Gaming, and Building the Metaverse” at 2:50 pm et on Tuesday, July 19 with other leaders in the space. Look out for additional details and tune-in information on Atmos socials.

We cannot wait to show you what’s next — but we also want to hear your feedback. We invite you to offer your thoughts and suggestions as we continue to build this world with you. As always, share us with your friends and have them join us in this journey.

Stay tuned for more announcements and updates in the weeks to come.

Update: We have updated the discord links in this post.
