It’s been another fantastic week on Planet Atmos following the hustle and bustle of Comic Con. We expanded our collabs, acquiring more exclusive perks for the community, learned about new restrictions and guidelines for hosting community tournaments from Nintendo, celebrated one of our own, and more.

NYCC 2023

ICYMI, we had a wonderful time representing Planet Atmos at New York Comic Con 2023, meeting and chatting with the folks who crowded our booth throughout the weekend.

Attendees had an opportunity to get their hands on the first physical prints of Exordium while also testing out an early build of ExoGP.

Exordium creators, Dylan Bushnell and Tommy Lee Edwards, were both on hand, greeting fans and signing art prints and physical copies of the comics.

Ultimately, the event provided an incredible opportunity for everyone involved, allowing them to connect with a diverse and passionate community of fans and creators, while also showing off their creativity and having a great time.

Virtual Handshakes

We are always looking to connect with new folks from other like-minded communities to expand our citizenry, sharing assets, alpha, and virtual handshakes. This week we added Re:Anima to that growing list of partners. Re:Anima is a free-to-play RPG that utilizes blockchain technology and we’ve procured 10 mystery boxes and 20 in-game gift-codes from them to share with our community.

Industry News

Nintendo has introduced strict new guidelines for organizing small-scale tournaments, known as “Community Tournaments,” centered around its games. These guidelines impose limits on the number of participants, entry fees, and event operations for these tournaments. The guidelines include further details for participants and spectators, as well as rules for various types of tournaments, such as those organized by schools and community groups. For example, events are prohibited from selling food, beverages, or merchandise if they want to come under the Community Tournament guidelines, and also cannot pay fees or expenses to any participating players. Organizers deviating from these rules will need a license from Nintendo to use their games.
