Greetings, Atmosians. This week, we congregated with like-minded folks in the Web3 gaming space and took to the mic (as well as the almighty pen) to answer questions about who we are, where we came from, what we’re building, and where we’re headed. We appreciate the members of a community collaboration for their AMA participation and share industry news about a new partnership between OpenSea and Coachella.

Simplified Space

On Monday, March 4th, our Founder and CEO Kevin Beauregard joined a group of other Web3 builders and strategists for the ‘Simplified’ X (Twitter) Space hosted by Matt Steffanina and Matt Biamonte. They shared their thoughts and opinions on crypto, GameFi, the upcoming Game Developers Conference (GDC), and more.

If you missed it live, you can listen back to the recording:

Socially Rising

Kevin also took part in a text-based AMA, responding to a variety of questions about Planet Atmos on X (Twitter) that were written by members of one of our community collaborations, Socials Rising. They provided a well-rounded mix of thoughtful questions that Kevin had a lot of fun responding to. Watch out for more AMAs and events about our activity and progress as we dive deeper into 2024.

Industry News

In industry news, Coachella announced the launch of their Coachella Keepsakes, a series of three NFT collections in partnership with OpenSea. These NFTs, on the Avalanche blockchain, will grant access to VIP areas and limited-edition merchandise at the annual festival. Priced at $1,499 each, the first collection, “The VIP Pass + Oasis Lounge Keepsake,” will offer access to an exclusive lounge, with 1,000 tokens available for purchase until April 1. Future drops will include unique merchandise and access to the Rose Garden VIP area.

Sam Schoonover, Coachella’s Innovation Lead, emphasized the goal of enhancing the festival experience through NFTs, comparing them to in-game purchases that provide benefits and upgrades for the player. They also intend to help educate the community on the broader potential of NFTs. Schoonover states, “When people think of NFTs, they generally still think of them as PFPs. So, the educational process around what else NFTs can do and be has been an important part of this campaign and partnership.”

OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer described the user-friendly approach, providing easy access to NFTs via email signup and credit card purchasing options. According to Finzer, “Our goal is to make interacting with OpenSea as simple as interacting with Amazon.”
