Fellow adventurers, we’re excited to be finishing up another week of excitement and progress on Planet Atmos. Our Founder had a great dialogue with a group of Web3 builders hosted by Particle Ink. In industry news, Fortnite Festival brings Fender into their virtual world. We also give a shout out to our OG collective for our community highlight. There’s a lot happening backstage that we can’t wait to share very soon. Trust us, the madness is just getting started.

Particle Ink

We’d like to thank our community partners at Particle Ink for having Kevin Beauregard on board for their X (Twitter) Space this week. There were some technical difficulties from X at the start but once they worked out the bugs it was a great panel and conversation focused on the evolution of in-game purchases and how Web3 is redefining microtransactions to better benefit players. Keep an eye out for more opportunities to hear from the team on Spaces soon!

Industry News

In industry news, Fortnite Festival has partnered with Fender to bring real-life musical instruments to the game. Following recent virtual concerts by artists like The Weeknd and Lady Gaga, Fortnite Festival continues their push on Web3 music integration boundaries with this new venture and partnership. Players can now purchase the iconic Fender Stratocaster Guitar or Fender Precision Bass in various colors from the Item Shop.

Fortnite Festival is primarily a rhythm-based game from Harmonix (creators of Guitar Hero and Rock Band) which seamlessly integrates into Fortnite. Players can also jam along with their purchased songs on the Festival Jam Stage or even during battle royale matches. Multiple players can jam together as well, creating spontaneous mashups with different songs being played simultaneously. Equipping players with Fender instruments in-game also lets them see their character rocking out with their chosen instrument during gameplay.
