PE Artifacts

What are they?

The Artifacts.

Once revealed the mining operations were essentially a hunt for esoteric knowledge and physical elements, the question became “what are these elements?”. The Corporation and those still subscribing to The Ancient Knowledge simply call them “Artifacts”. Remnants of the time of the Mastodons (the giant, war fairing clans of the Ancient Times), and Planet Eaters.

Many believe the sought after artifacts are the pieces necessary for the Metal Mage to create The Star Machine. A world ender. A people ender.

This machine had previously been produced by The Metallurgist Clan, under direction of The Corporation, and was subsequently used to bring about the First Great Storm.

In current times and with decreased public visibility of ZED, the outliers believe ZED is searching the galaxy for the Artifacts to resurrect the Mastodons. Many believe ZED grows weak and requires a drastic ritual to realize his full power. It is said The Corporation allows the rumors of the Star Machine to continue in order to hide their true intentions. They neither deny nor confirm that a search for sustainable Protein in the Mines has ceased and that manpower is diverted over to the Artifacts Project.
