A study done by Cambridge University found that when people type faster they become more productive because they can complete tasks quicker.
Typing faster will also make you more efficient because it forces you to focus on what you are doing at hand instead of worrying about how long it will take for something to load or fill out a form.
You Can Literally Save Entire Days of Your Year Just by Typing Faster
The average person spends three hours per day using their keyboard. If you can type just a little bit faster how much time could that save?
Putting it in numbers, the average person spends 1095 hours a year typing. A 30% speed increase would reduce that number of hours to around 767. That’s a savings of 328 hours or 13 full days!
The more accurate and efficient your typing ability, the less likely you will have to worry about how long it takes something to load or fill out forms.

Going Beyond With Hotkeys
One way to become a faster typist is by learning how to use hotkeys.
Hotkeys are keyboard shortcuts that allow users to quickly navigate around their computer without having to use the mouse.
For example, if you wanted to close a window you would have to right-click on the title bar and then select “Close Window” from the menu that pops up.

The first one is called “TypeRacer” and it is an online game where you race against other players to see who can type the fastest.
The second one is called “Key Hero” and it is a website where you can test your typing skills by completing various challenges.
Both of these resources are great for improving your speed and accuracy!
