Thrown into existence, the theft occurred with the invention of the mirror. Self-reflection has returned to the meta, fictionalized and deluded by the preoccupation of disposable consumption. There was a time in recent history when we were not eyewitnesses to our own beauty, at least not as often as we currently have access to.
