Two Tacos or Peace on Earth?
So Face Life and Join the UN
Inspired by Virginia Wolf (1882–1941)’s quote, “You cannot find peace by avoiding life”. The titled responsion is…
Serving up the peace sign or did you order two? Tacos that is; peace is best served on a full stomach! The reference to the United Nations in today’s responsion title is weak at best but joining the call-to-action peace-keeping efforts, if in awareness alone, is a libertarian ideal worth pursuing. Or is it?
If you ask me, the best quote I ever heard was by a famous motivational speaker, and that is “You cannot find peace by avoiding the things that are important to you.” That is so true. I know that if you try to avoid life’s little pleasures that it will take over your life and make you miserable.
Instead of avoiding life, make sure that you are giving life to other people. Help someone who needs something. When you give to someone who wants to help others, you feel better. Give in situations that you don’t feel that you can handle.
Having a good feeling makes you feel better. It gives you a sense of accomplishment. When you feel good, you have more energy to do other things. When you feel bad, you have less energy to do other things. So the trick is in making sure that you are giving to others in order to get more energy.
The great thing about helping other people is that you will feel like you are not missing anything if you don’t give them something. Your giving will help to lift the other person up. You will feel better about yourself. When you feel better about yourself, then you have more energy to do the other things that you want to do. Giving and receiving things are just as important to us as receiving.
When you feel like you are giving in and giving a great feeling, then you are doing that for yourself. You want to be happy and you want to do all of the things that you want. You want others to feel happy and get what they need. So if you can help other people, it will be easier to give to them. If you are able to give the best feeling that you have and give it with all the power that you have, then you will be able to give better to other people.
The best feeling is when you give and receive. That feeling is very rewarding. The feeling of gratitude that you have for the things that you have. The feeling of happiness that you have because you are able to give without thinking about it.
It is hard to find peace in your life when you give to others only and nothing comes back to you. This is a waste of time. Life is not always easy. You do not get everything that you want. in this life but if you don’t give, then there will be no happiness.
There is no joy in giving. Giving is not always easy but when you give it will bring you happiness.
There is no need to think about what you want. Just give and it will come. If you are able to do this, then life will be great.
When you feel like you can’t find peace in your life, it is because you are thinking about what you want to do and how to get there. You want to live your life and not worry about what the future holds for you. You want to give and receive things and feel good about yourself. so that you can give more and be good to others.
When you are able to feel happy and good and have more energy, you are going to find peace. you will feel more positive. when you are around people who are happy and have more energy than you have.
You will find happiness and peace when you avoid focusing on the bad in your life and focus on what is right. Focus on what is positive instead. The good things in life are what you want and can take. So if you want to find peace in your life, you need to focus on the good and not the negative.
Or Nothing At All
Inspired by Inspector Harry Callahan’s quote, “If you want a guarantee, buy a toaster”. The titled responsion is
The titled responsion of this post adds to Clint Eastwood’s common sense command to buy a toaster. I say, don’t buy that toaster and forego the guarantee and the paper it’s printed on. Disposable consumption offers a false sense of security. Virtue ethics should play a part in our daily performances of working together to accomplish a common goal. The teleological ruminations of potential prosperity offer a renewed sense of progress, but first, make sure we all have something to eat! Buy the toaster if you need it, otherwise make a burrito!
