Y-Urn-ING for Aesthetics
Inspired by John Keats (1795–1821)’s quote, “Beauty is truth, truth beauty,’ — that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know. — Ode to a Grecian Urn”. The titled responsion is…
It is true that beauty is a very subjective idea and it cannot be applied to anything. No matter what you see in nature beauty is a subjective concept and it is subject to change based on your view. It is always relative to your perception and there can be no absolute truth. There are only beauty and truth.
Beauty cannot be measured by human standards. Beauty is an inborn trait but not a trait that are inbuilt. The word ‘beauty’ has various meanings according to different cultures and religions which are very difficult to determine.
Some people believe that the aesthetic value of a picture is directly related to the time and effort that went into making it. Others believe that the aesthetic value of a picture is also directly related to the time and effort that went into developing it. Still others believe that beauty is something that is inherent in a piece of work itself and not in relation to the time or effort that went into making it.
In order for beauty to be measured the observer needs to see something that is aesthetically pleasing to them. In other words beauty is defined according to the beholder.
There is no universal beauty because every culture has its own definition of beauty. It can be found anywhere on the earth according to the preferences and needs of its people.
Beauty is the state of being desirable or attractive. A man who is beautiful is the man who has all the qualities required to make his partner happy. He should possess strong physical features and personality traits that will make him happy.
A person’s character and personality are determined by the combination of his/her inherited characteristics and he/she may acquire new traits that will make him/her more attractive to others. These traits are called character traits.
Beauty is an intrinsic quality of a person and can never be changed. If you see someone who is completely ugly, chances are that she/he does not have true beauty as he/she was born with it.
Beauty is also determined by the way a person looks. A person is always beautiful because she/he possesses good physical features and personality traits that make them look attractive to others.
Beauty is something that cannot be attained, it is something that people have for themselves. What some people consider to be beauty might be a matter of personal opinion. It may be because of a particular type of face or because of hair color.
It would take years for a person to achieve their beauty and they may also be unable to change it even if they want to. because of the nature of their personality traits. This is why the concept of beauty cannot be achieved by anyone unless there is a certain amount of time dedicated towards this pursuit.
Beauty cannot be measured in terms of money or status because beauty is something that cannot be acquired. Even money cannot be used to achieve beauty as the price for it.
Beauty is not related to material possessions and can only be appreciated by those who possess it. Beauty is something that a person does not acquire by means of acquisition.
Beauty is an eternal and unchangeable quality of a person. It is something that cannot be improved by making a purchase or by paying a little amount for it. True beauty can only be found if one has the patience to discover it in the eyes of the beholder.
Beauty is always present no matter where you go. The world is full of people who lack this quality. Their beauty will fade over time as time passes by. They are no longer noticed by others due to their dullness.
Beauty is not something that can be achieved by a person by means of buying a new dress or a new pair of shoes. It is something that is seen and experienced. It is something that comes with the heart of the beholder. and is something that cannot be acquired.
Beauty is something that cannot be taken away. by anyone. This is why beauty cannot be purchased or bought by money.
Inspired by Charles Darwin (1809–1882)’s quote, “To kill an error is as good a service as, and sometimes even better than, the establishing of a new truth or fact.”. The titled responsion is
If a tree falling in the forest is plane to see, why is that sounds is the determiner of existence? Silence as the indicator of outcomes defies physics, and trust me that’s positively impossible to do!
Uncover the Truth
Inspired by André Malraux (1901–1976)’s quote, “Man is not what he thinks he is, he is what he hides.” The titled responsion is out of “plane” sight so to speak.
How shall you uncover the truth, especially after reading this quote from André Malraux? The starting and end point is with yourself? Do you agree? What are you hiding?
Lose Yourself in Translation
Inspired by George Steiner (1929–2020)’s quote, “Every language is a world. Without translation, we would inhabit parishes bordering on silence.” The titled responsion is…
This graduated role reversal of humility is an act worth thinking about. Revolutions take place despite our preoccupation with initiation. As the world turns, living is perpetual, limited to our species in language only.
