Time tracking is the first step to better time management, in the words of Peter Drucker: “The effective executive therefore knows that to manage his time, he first has to know where it actually goes”.

But, time tracking is not easy, it takes efforts, to be accurate and disciplined to track your time.

Today, I want to show you how this is easily done in your Planyway calendar for Trello.

There are three simple steps:

  1. Simply type in your plans, daily tasks or events in calendar as usual.

2. When you complete some task or event, enter the completion time and set the actual duration, then select complete or send it to the archive.

3. Turn on “Show archived” or “Completed” and see what you’ve done.

This simple time tracking method gives you the edge in time, because from week to week when you know where your time has been you know where your time will go.

Now with clarified direction and that extra time you can go to the next level and delegate, outsource, automate things so you can do what you excel at.
