I had an amazing time on Saturday sharing some insights with participants at the Influencer Marketing Masterclass organized by Tosin Ajibade.

The influencer marketing industry in Africa is definitely gaining momentum and I’m excited at the sheer size of opportunities available to not just the influencers, but even more, brands looking to engage and inspire action from consumers.

More than ever, consumers are turning off ads and looking for that human-to-human. (H2H) connection and I make bold to say that the brands that will win today are those smart enough to tap into that connection and trust influencers have built with the consumers.

That’s why we set up Plaqad.com — one of Africa’s fastest growing platforms helping brands — to help brands seamlessly, conveniently and effectively connect with consumers at a much-deeper level and get results the old traditional ways of marketing cannot guarantee, at rates even the smallest SMEs can conveniently afford.
