On April 3rd, we’re excited to host the New York Android Developers meetup at our headquarters here in The Flatiron District. Although our native Android app is only one year old compared to our longer standing iOS counterpart, we have ambitious goals for mobile altogether on our engineering roadmap!
Unique Challenges at Plated
Several months ago, Plated was acquired by Albertsons, a national grocery store chain with more than 2,300 stores— including Safeway and Acme. This is a major win because up until this point, Plated has relied solely on its e-commerce channel to get fresh ingredients to customers’ doorsteps.
With a company like Albertsons supporting on long term vision, for starters—we’re able to expand our offerings to brick and mortar retail. And of course, teaming up with Albertsons will present a new set of challenges for us in on mobile to innovate in, on top of the existing experience we plan to continually improve for our customers!
