This week, we had the chance to meet an exciting community of data scientists and engineers in NYC with in-depth talks hosted by the NYC Data Engineering Meetup.

We really enjoy learning and networking with passionate engineers of all disciplines in the area, and we’d love to host your meetup too if you’re just as excited as we are about software, data and …food of course! For attendees, we’ll provide food and drinks — you just bring your learning spirit!

While we did not get a chance to speak at this event, our engineers enjoy attending and speaking at meetups and conferences themselves. For anyone interested in the machine learning space, one of our data scientists, Andrew Marchese, will be speaking at the Machine Learning Innovation Summit next month in NYC.

We’d like to give a big shoutout to Keira Zhou for coordinating this meetup with Plated. We would also like to give an internal shoutout to the Branding working group at Plated for planning our engineering events at HQ. From event planning and coordination to post-event teardown and cleanup, engineers at Plated do an amazing job at taking ownership of these community events.
