Noctil, a no-code metadata platform, has launched an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) in Kochi, India with a team of eight staff. With four team members in the USA, the ODC increases the company’s total headcount to 12.

Noctil is aiming to double that headcount to 24 by increasing the number of staff in the ODC to 20 by the end of 2025. The ODC team consists of project managers, tech leads, developers and test engineers.

The ODC will enable Noctil to enhance its global reach with round-the-clock productivity and a diverse talent pool. It will help accelerate project timelines while delivering cost-effective solutions for the company’s rightsholder, publisher and administrator clients.

Through Noctil’s platform, rightsholders and administrators can organise, transform and exchange metadata efficiently to maximise their royalty revenue.

Over the past five years, the company processed over 100 million sound recordings through its platform, completed over 100,000 catalogue registrations and helped over 50,000 rightsholders get paid.

Jacob Varghese, Founder and Director, Noctil: “The opening of our new centre is a testament to our belief in the power of global collaboration. By uniting top talent globally, we’re creating an environment where diverse ideas are exchanged and innovation thrives. This expansion not only propels our growth but also positions us to deliver groundbreaking solutions that redefine industry standards.

“I extend my sincere gratitude to our exceptional team and valued partners for their unwavering commitment to this vision.

“Our mission has always been to democratise technology for the music industry. By making advanced tools accessible and affordable, we empower rightsholders, publishers and administrators to reach their full potential. This commitment also underpins our dedication to ensuring fair compensation for artists and rightsholders, fostering a sustainable ecosystem where creativity can flourish.”
