The Future of the Music Industry: Highlights For the Upcoming NEW VISIONS For Music & Sound
NEW VISIONS For Music & Sound is setting new standards by focusing on innovations and visionary approaches for the future of the music industry.
On September 5th and 6th, visitors can look forward to a diverse program featuring more than 70 pioneers and thought leaders from over 10 countries, who will discuss solutions to the challenges facing the music ecosystem.
The event will be held at the Pfefferberg Brewery in Berlin, where attendees will enjoy engaging lectures, discussions, and presentations on topics including new funding opportunities for artists, the potential of Spatial Audio as the future music format, the latest trends in music marketing, and much more.
A special focus will be placed on the much-debated impacts of AI on the creative process of musicians, and the myriad ways the music industry can ethically benefit from this technology. Additionally, 25 startups will present their solutions to various challenges within the music industry.

Dr. Martin Clancy, founder of AI and chair of the IEEE Global AI Ethics Arts Committee, will provide in-depth insights into the future of the music industry and the role that artificial intelligence will play in his keynote “NEW VISIONS for an Ethical AI Music Ecosystem.” His talk will offer a significant impetus for the responsible use of this technology.
Clancy, who is also the author of “Artificial Intelligence and the Music Ecosystem,” brings extensive knowledge and experience to the discussion. “The integration of AI in music must be done responsibly and ethically to ensure both creativity and fairness. AI offers tremendous opportunities for the music industry, but it is crucial that we use it with care and respect,” Clancy emphasizes. His presentation will provide participants with practical approaches for the ethical use of AI in the music industry.
Spatial Audio: A New Dimension of Music Experience
Another highlight of NEW VISIONS is the panel on Spatial Audio. Experts Natalia Szczepanczyk (Holoplot), Stefan Bock (msm-studios), Monica Bolles (Resonant Interactions), Felix Deufel (ZIMMT), and Gerriet Krishna Sharma (spaes Lab) will discuss how Spatial Audio can fundamentally change the music experience. From new creative approaches to enhanced revenue opportunities, this format offers numerous possibilities for the music industry.

Female Empowerment: A Workshop for Tomorrow’s Leaders
At NEW VISIONS for Music & Sound, GenderMusicTech will host a workshop dedicated to empowering women and underrepresented genders in the digital music sector.
Led by Fatiha Ben Brahim (Digitalfems), a seasoned leader in the music industry, the workshop will present tools and strategies for success in the dynamic world of digital music. “It is long overdue to promote diversity in technological environments and provide women with the necessary resources,” emphasizes Ben Brahim.
