We’ve just been at one of the biggest blockchain events in Japan, the TEAMZ Blockchain Summit, and are excited to tell you all about it!
There was great investor interest in Platio’s crypto-banking solution and our stand was full of people all day long.
We received some great feedback from the crypto community and met dozens of potential clients, both businesses and individuals, all crying out for a way to seamlessly and securely manage both crypto and traditional currencies.
Our CEO Dima Okhrimchuk gave a very well-received speech entitled, “Why is using crypto still inconvenient?” Afterwards he was surrounded with people wanting to know more about Platio and our unique solution to the challenge of crypto-banking.
The first day ended with a dinner for investors and guest speakers and then a party, hosted by Platio, on the rooftop of the Andaz hotel.
The whole team was busy with meetings on day 2, after which Platio co-hosted another rooftop party!
One of the highlights of the event was meeting legendary crypto investor Jeffrey Wernick. Despite a gap in age and experience, Dima held him own during a heated 1 hour discussion about the future of governments, tokenization of assets and general crypto/blockchain space. It was an inspiring discussion that drew in a big crowd.
Once TEAMZ was over, the whole team stayed on, braving Typhoon Trami for meetings with potential investors and partners. We all fell in love with Japan, its people, culture, tech and nature. We can’t wait to go back — though hopefully next time the weather will be calmer!
