THE PONG LEGENDS v0.2 ALPHA RELEASE IS HERE!
Hello, Artiezens! We made it to the v0.2 release! And we’re coming in hot with some quality of service updates and lots of other additions that will strengthen the game’s core foundation. We’re straight-up hyped to dive into the sweet updates and tweaks we’ve got in store for you in this build, so without further adieu, let’s hop in.

UPDATED ARENA
Let’s fire up the grill and crack open some cold ones as we say goodbye to the old “Tron-style” arena and welcome everyone to the cookout! Our main goal was to bring more depth and detail to the player experience, while setting the stage for even more diverse and exciting updates in this area in the future. Why this theme you might ask? Well, who doesn’t love a good backyard BBQ and a kick-ass game of beer pong?!
ACCOUNT NAMES
You can now create unique account names that will be displayed throughout the game. It’s time to get creative and pick something that’ll make you stand out from the crowd. So, put on your thinking cap — and come up with something cool (and unique)! After all, this is what your competitors will remember you by.
PHYSICS, MEMORY, AND GRAPHICS
We’ve amped up the graphics quality and memory management, so you can expect a more immersive gaming experience. On top of that, we’ve also overhauled our game physics engine, so your gameplay should feel smoother and more realistic.
IMPROVED MATCHMAKING
We’ve fine-tuned match-making to solve for extended queue times. You’ll be able to jump into matches a lot more quickly with this update. Not much more to say here other than hop in and queue up!
CHARACTER COLLECTION FEATURE
You can now further customize your gaming experience by playing as your own Artie characters! This means you can choose any character you own and have more control over your in-game representation. It’s an awesome way to personalize your gameplay and make it even more immersive and enjoyable.
PARTICIPATION REWARDS
We’re amping up the competition in Pong Legends with new bounties and special events reminiscent of treasure hunts or epic quests in which you increase your chances of winning prizes as you play. We are still figuring out the details for this so be sure to keep an eye on Discord and Artie social channels for detailed announcements. Stay tuned!
COMMUNITY PLAYTEST & GIVEAWAY
In the meantime, the Artie crew is celebrating the sick new pad with a Backyard Bash, and you’re all invited! Pool hangs. Hot dogs. And of course — beer pong! Plus, you can win some pretty rad prizes just by playing.
The Alpha playtest is going down on Friday, Feb. 24th, 2023 from 9:00 AM PT to 12:00 AM (midnight) PT and we’re going to hand out an iPhone, cash prizes, and Artie digital collectibles to anyone who plays and meets the following criteria during those hours.
