Ascenders’ Log #3
Look at that, another transmission has been coming in! With the CEO’s one dropping last week, it’s time for another one today. As the community in Discord has already learned (make sure to join it if you want to learn more ahead of the curve), today’s transmission is from no other than office sheep: Jean Claude van Ram.
Who is this?
Oh hay there! Jean Claude van Ram is the name, and eating grass is my game. I’ve been brought in by the Dev Herder (Will) to help around the office, but mostly on Ascension; in preparation for everybody to arrive in a while. Got to keep those grass fields trimmed and appealing for visitors! Oh, and my Pokémon nickname is obviously Mareep.
What got you into games?
I’ve been aware of this whole entertainment business due to my distant cousin Shaun… However, as you might know I can’t play anything myself due to my lack of thumbs — which you kind of need to play these darned things, right? The Ascenders team was kind enough to take me in and give me a near life time supply of fresh grass for me to eat from; which I gladly accepted!
What is your role within the Ascenders team?
Grass trimmer, land preparer and all-round fluffy guy. I’ve been asked to do some other things, but I’m unsure if I can shear these things already; anyway you’ll see that shared sooner or later.
Most enjoyable thing within the job?
The unlimited amounts of grass I can munch on throughout the day. It seems to be never ending, and with all the different biomes on Ascension there’s always a different view to enjoy. I can just bake in the sun, enjoy a nice patch of grass and maybe hike up some mountains (of which there aren’t many — if any — in the Netherlands).
What are you looking forward to most with Ascenders?
To wool the world! That was a sheep shot…
Is there something you can’t wait to share with the community?
Oh the environments on Ascension are a-mèèèèh-zing, and I’m just eating away to prepare for some lands to be made available? I have no idea what that means, but I’m shear it’s something you might be interested in?
