Ascenders’ Log #4

With everything happening in the office and on our community channels, we completely overlooked another transmission coming in. This time’s transmission is from one of our Designers; Aslan.

Who is this?

My name is Aslan, I’m 28 years of age from Lebanon.

What got you into games?

It started as a fun experience with a friend, we joined a competition called Imagine Cup by Microsoft and won national 1st place in both 2015 & 2016. This gave me the encouragement and spark to do game development as a profession.

What is your role within the Ascenders team?

My duty is to bring value and fill in gaps in the company and the project. I’m not limited to only one role.

Most enjoyable thing within the job?

My priority lies with problem solving design issues. But to achieve those goals efficiently, I rely on strong team coordination, momentum, and consistency. It’s extremely enjoyable and satisfying to see all that fall into place.

Working with the right people that share the same values and vision brings great joy. Having this enjoyment makes me forget it’s a job, and turns it into a hobby that I get paid for.

What are you looking forward to most with Ascenders?

Creating a world where people come together to build a strong and lasting community that opens a lot of experiences, memories, and opportunities within Web3.

Is there something you can’t wait to share with the community?

Everybody would want to find and explore Remnants, it will offer many different challenges and rare loot! Perhaps several Boss fights from different universes? Hmm…
