Playback Memoirs

Finding Out My Ancestry

My mom is a really sentimental person, and she’s always telling stories about what things were like back when I was a baby. But the last story she told me went way too far.

“When you were a baby, you ate a hamster,” she said.

I just looked at her.

“Yeah, I know right,” she continued, giggling, “that’s what my face looked like when I saw it happen.”

Playback Memoirs is where you publish stories that make you say, “Did that really happen?” We love hearing all the painfully true stories that you would probably rather keep to yourself!
