Adventure Spotlight: The Infinity Vault
Simply put, the Infinity Vault is the most secure storage facility ever built. It’s rumored to house some of the most valuable items in history, including the Magna Carta, the Crown Jewels, the magic bullet that killed JFK, and famous works of art from all across history, including many pieces believed to have been lost or destroyed. Whenever an object of significant value goes missing, one has to wonder if it wound up safely ensconced inside the Infinity Vault.
NO SAFER PLACE IN ALL OF SPACETIME TO STORE YOUR UNMENTIONABLES
The Vault is part of the Great Museum at Evermore, located within Epoch City. The Museum serves as a testament to humanity’s achievements, as well as those of a thousand alien civilizations. It’s run by an alien race known only as THE CURATORS, whose boundless curiosity for human culture has turned them into something akin to hoarders. How do they store so many trinkets and artifacts? With pocket universe technology, of course! The Vault can be expanded as needed, meaning there are no limits to its contents. But one thing’s for certain — since the dawn of time, no one’s ever amassed a greater collection of, well… pretty much everything.
THE TRICK ISN’T BREAKING IN, IT’S BREAKING OUT
No one knows for sure what kind of defenses the Vault employs, though rumors abound. Get a couple drinks in any professional thief and they’ll tell stories of vicious traps, deadly lasers, robot sentries, and time shifting locks. Unfortunately, none of these rumors can be verified as no one’s ever pulled off a successful heist. This hasn’t deterred a host of would-be time bandits from trying, of course. Attempted break-ins are a frequent occurrence. The Curators don’t seem to mind, though. Each failure to steal from the Vault only serves to cement its reputation. And each wayward soul who fails to return home instills yet more fear in the hearts of scoundrels everywhere.
