The Syphons are a chain of power stations. Its platforms and tunnels form a vast subterranean labyrinth. At its core is a black hole, suspended in a time loop to keep its massive gravitational pull at bay. Great machines harness its rotational force to produce massive amounts of electromagnetic energy. The Syphons were built and abandoned by an ancient alien race. The deeper you venture, the more mysterious and strange things get.
The Syphons are among the more mysterious adventure zones in Big Time, full of dangerous creatures and strange phenomena. Time works differently here, with dilation bubbles and unpredictable tears in the fabric of spacetime… depositing creatures of unknown origin. Add to that a collapsing infrastructure, arcing electricity, to say nothing of the presence of a massive black hole right under your feet.
