Note! Due to a large amount of changes to progression and early-game balance, all player data will be wiped for this update
GAMEPLAY:
- First Time Users will now experience an entirely new flow. Accelerating early game play, as well as doing much more to teach players the game
- New Dungeon Tileset: Tomb of an Unknown Pharaoh
- Elemental Orbs now move around during Phase II and Phase III of the Elemental Boss Fight
- Daily and Weekly “Bounties” (Quests) have been added to the game. Check back in every day to get your quest rewards!
- Public Event drill rigs are now each associated with an elemental type
- Players can now “fast travel” between unlocked waypoints in Time’s End
- New “Shock” Weapon Gems can now be crafted at the Weapon Gem vendroid
- If no other saved position is available when joining a server, position from other instances of that map will be used to restore player position
DIGITAL COLLECTIBLES/NFTs:
- New Cosmetic Item type added: Footprint Effects — watch your steps burn behind you as you travel the land
- New Cosmetic Item type added: Emote animations — get access to new emote animations by acquiring special cosmetic digital collectibles in-game or on Open Loot
- UI for equipping cosmetic items has been revamped both to support new types of items as well as improve usability
BALANCE:
- Mission XP rewards will now scale with dungeon level
- Drops from “Demon Chests” have been improved
- Projectiles of similar size are now stopped by projectiles of the same size or larger. Larger projectiles pierce through smaller projectiles
- Fixer drones now last longer the more you upgrade the skill
- Blocking with shields will now prevent some hit reactions from triggering
- Rewards in public events will now be shared with everyone in the event, not just the party who landed the killing blow
- To curb griefing, players can no longer spawn certain portals near various objects and portals in the world
- Post-DBNO invulnerability is now canceled if the player takes aggressive actions
- Prerequisites for various skill tree unlocks have been adjusted, in some cases accepting an optional set of prereqs (eg 1 of SkillA OR 1 of SkillB)
- Item requirements have been modified; Affixes sometimes add attribute requirements
- Gold penalty on death has been reduced for players below level 20
- Improved Into The Fray targeting to deal damage more reliably
- The Scientific Method will now spawn enemies sooner than previously
- Friendly players will no longer block projectiles of one another
- Soul Drain now spawns enemies nearer to the Soul Drain
- When and which knockdown animations play has been adjusted in some situations
- Artifact Fragment stack size has been increased
- Most ailments will no longer block dodge
- More possible stat bonuses have been added to most items
- Shadowblade early game skill progression has been reworked to be a bit more self sufficient
- Frostball now has a smaller chance of applying slow to affected targets
- Fireball minor now deals AoE damage
- Shuriken damage has been increased, but so has its cooldown
PERSONAL METAVERSE:
- Existing Personal Metaverse tiles have been improved across the board. They are now bigger, and the differences between rarities are accentuated considerably
- You can now remove decorations from the UI directly in addition to finding them in the world
- Fixed some issues with certain SPACEs that could not be connected to other SPACEs
AI:
- Ancient Monitor now have a ‘radiant blast’ ability added to their arsenal
- New AI Type added; CyberPirate Brawler
- Certain AI will now explode after a short countdown upon death
- Megaclockies will no longer ‘track’ you during their shield blast attack
ANIMATION:
- Mantes now have several new animations for their abilities
- Cyberpirates now have several new animations
- New interact animations have been added for various objects in the game
- Fixed numerous issues with enemies appearing to “foot slide” when moving
VFX
- VFX for Coffin Mantis heal ability have been improved
- Chain heal effects have been added
- VFX for Elemental Monitor disc attack have been improved
- VFX for Raptors have been improved
- VFX for corrupted portals have been improved
- VFX for potions have been improved
- VFX for Emote Station have been improved
- VFX for Energy and Frost projectiles have been added when the projectiles fly too long
- VFX for Big Che have been improved
- VFX for Chopper jump attacks have been improved
- VFX for Clockie healing abilities have been improved
- Unique VFX have been added for Revive Allies, Panacea, Town Portal, Summon Party members, and Rejuvenation
- VFX added for Possessed Chests
- VFX for Energy Blast have been improved
- VFX for Electric Orb have been improved
- VFX for Overling hammer attacks have been added
- VFX for Orbital Strike have been added
- VFX for Public Event Drill rigs have been improved
- VFX for Underling hand grenade have been improved
- VFX for Overling blast attack have been improved
LEVELS:
- Deserts now have destructible cacti scattered throughout the land
- Fixed several places players could get stuck or escape the map
UI:
- Japanese translations have been added to the game
- Added new setting to show the player’s name above their head like everyone else’s
- Inventory UI now displays full player stats for easier understanding of your character
- Many ability and skill tree icons have been added or improved
- Added auto-adjust feature for system settings that will pick a good configuration for your PC automatically
- Added several rendering performance options to settings for custom tuning of performance and visuals
- ‘Support’ vs normal skill tree nodes now have a different visual look
- Fixed various display issues with the skill tree UI
- Text for public event portals has been prettied up
- Keyboard shortcuts have been added to various UI buttons
- Added Quest Tracker UI allowing players to show/hide quests on the HUD. Especially useful for persistent quests such as bounties
- Filters have been added to gem crafting UI for easier navigation
- Vendor inventory UI now has filters
- Stacks of Artifact Fragments can now be split
- Added new key shortcuts for opening various tabs in the inventory
- Optional quests now are colorized differently than normal quests
- Added setting to disable Motion Blur
- Right clicking a pocket watch in the inventory will now open the Timeline Selection tab
- Fixed stash not playing inventory sounds
- When gold is taken due to the player dying, a side message will now appear indicating the amount taken
- Player stats now have a descriptive tooltip that appears if you hover over them with your mouse
- Added the ability to filter consumables from your inventory display
PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATIONS:
- Optimized player equipment for server replication performance improvements
AUDIO:
- Vendroids have new audio added to their repertoire
- Drone bugs have had their audio personality revamped
- Shrines have had their sounds revamped
- Overling Shredders have had their audio improved
- Sounds for players coming into and out of sprint have been added
- Audio from healing has been improved; both to help distinguish between your heals and others, and generally
- New music added for Cyber Pirate boss fight
- New music added to wasteland area
- New music added to landscape insectoid boss fight
- Raptor attack audio has been improved
- New sound effects added to Chopper Projectile
- Audio improved for many projectiles in the game
- Audio for Potions have been improved
- New audio added to Town Portal
- Tree of Life audio improved
- New music added to Meadow dungeon
- Audio has been improved for end of round screen
- Audio on Rocket Clockies has been improved
BUG FIXES:
- Fixed an issue with Turrets causing them to be less accurate than intended
- Fix fortify gates remaining in the level when they weren’t active any longer
- Fixed an issue with Turret explosions snapping to the ground
- Fixed some issues with ground reticle collision
- Fixed issues with healthbars displaying incorrect max health in certain situations
- Fixed fire aura stacking up VFX more than was intended
- Fixed being able to ‘steer’ during dodges
- Fixed bug that could cause vendors to ‘stack up’ on top of one another
- Fixed Tree of Life shutting down when Fauna are in radius
- Fixed issues with interactions occasionally selecting an item the user was not expecting
