Introducing the Big Time Token Economy!

In a recent post, we previewed our new SPACE NFT — the means by which players and guilds can expand their time machines in Big Time. SPACE allows access to new rooms, specialized crafting stations, and a whole lot more. Early demand for SPACE has been tremendous, and we’ll be holding a public sale in early December.

Today, we’re pleased to introduce another concept we hinted at in that same post. Big Time’s very own crypto token.

Gamers will play to earn tokens as they battle across history, defeating enemies and undertaking dangerous quests. In addition to their collection value, tokens have incredible in-game utility as well. Tokens can be used to purchase ultra rare and exclusive cosmetic NFTs, speed up crafting times, and repair damaged and depleted items.

Okay… so you’ve decided to become a token hunter. Where to begin? Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Acquire SPACE in-game or on our marketplace.

• The tokens and SPACE are intrinsically linked. In order to get started, you’ll need to acquire SPACE for your pocket universe and place a Time Keeper portal.

Step 2: Unlock a Time Keeper in-game or buy one on our marketplace.

• Once the Time Keeper portal is placed, you may summon this mysterious being of incredible power.

Step 3. Acquire your Hourglass in-game, from a guild, or on our marketplace.

• Gathering tokens requires the use of a special in-game item known as an Hourglass, which can be acquired from the Time Keeper. However, players will also have the option to buy an Hourglass from the marketplace, or borrow one from a guild.

Step 4: With your Hourglass in hand, go hunt for tokens in the game.

• Properly equipped players may now receive tokens as they battle dangerous enemies and undertake amazing challenges across history.

The sands of time are not unlimited, however. Players must periodically visit the Time Keeper to replenish the sands before they run out. Recharging your Hourglass allows you to keep finding tokens while you play.

Clearly, the tokens will be a highly sought after commodity, and we want to ensure a fair launch for everyone. To that end, there will be no initial offering or pre-sale of the token to anyone, including the development team, meaning that the token will be 100% community-driven. The primary way to acquire the tokens will be to play the game.

One final note. There have been several unfortunate incidents involving crypto projects recently. We have taken every step possible to secure our platform and our community. Please remember that Big Time will never solicit funds through direct messages, and any future sales will be announced publicly and well in advance.
