November brought chilly winds and warm dreams to the citizens of Civitas. We kicked things off with a 'Screenshot Saturday' that turned everyone into armchair architects. 'What would you build?' we asked, and oh boy, did you answer! Castles, markets, or just a cozy nook to watch the virtual clouds roll by — your ideas had us sketching and planning faster than a sim on fast-forward.

While Civitas is still under wraps, waiting for its big debut, we've been tinkering under the hood, laying down code bricks, and sprinkling pixie dust where it's needed. So grab your virtual hard hats and join us as we dig into the highlights and happenings of November, where every idea is part of the blueprint, and every dreamer is a part of the crew. It's a build-up to the big reveal, and trust us, it's going to be epic!

Everything is Art

We spiced things up with an Art Leak teaser that had everyone buzzing like a beehive with curiosity. Two sheaves, one green, one gold, popped up on screens, each strand seemingly pulsing with ancient stories and secrets yet to be told. Everyone had a theory, from hidden treasures to mystical lands awaiting in our game's lore. While the gears of development turned steadily behind the scenes, these glimpses into Civitas' art vault kept imaginations wild and expectations high.

Our Farm Level 2 Building Concept took the stage, a tribute to the Bronze Age's simple genius and a testament to the land's faithful stewards. This reveal was more than just a peek at what's to come; it was a celebration of progress, a nod to our roots, a green flag to the race towards release, and a glimpse into the fertile future of Civitas.

From the aerial sketch strewn with tools and shapes, we asked, 'What could this be?' Theories flew like kites on a windy day, each more creative than the last. It's part of Civitas's fun—guessing games fuel the imagination, and teasers that make everyone spark the imagination.

Finally, the Fabric Weaver Concept stood tall, a salute to ancient tentmakers and the age-old craft of weaving. As we pulled back the curtain on this piece, we didn't just present a building; we wove a thread into the ever-growing tapestry of Civitas' lore. It's a world stitched with history, designed for players to explore and enjoy.

Web3 Community

Last month, Directive Games made waves at the OnMetaverse Summit. Our very own Chief Product Officer, Kent Byers, took to the stage in Milan. It was a moment where ideas about the future of gaming converged, and we got to share our vision for Civitas with the world. If you were there, you caught a glimpse of what's brewing behind our digital doors.

But of course, there's more. Do you remember that we attended the first-ever PH Web3 Festival? Yes, that one. This year, we also had the privilege of supporting our partners with another successful event, the YGG Web3 Games Summit #W3GS, brought to you by Yield Guild Games, which occurred from November 18–25 in BGC, Taguig, Philippines. There were many happenings, but what stood out at the event was their Game Expo.

Like last year, they started the event with a Web3 Game Jam, where many STI students participated. The Game Jam took place over two days, from November 18–19, at STI, Bonifacio Global City, where we discovered the next generation of talented builders as they hacked the future of web3 gaming.

Following this was the official Conference on November 21–22 at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila. There were approximately 90 speakers present to educate us about the future trends of web3 gaming from the most influential web3 thought leaders and pioneers worldwide.

But beyond that, everyone was looking forward to the Expo and Tournament, where over 5,000 web3 gamers eagerly awaited 40+ Hot Web3 Games! Here, we met passionate web3 gamers scouting for the latest games and projects to support.

And, of course, that's not all. There were also 50+ side events amidst the main events. (Yes, I know, we all love those side events).

This year, we participated as a support for our ever-growing web3 community and partners. Hopefully, one day, we will return next year to showcase not only our Civitas but also our other projects to the world.
