Mint Achievements: What Are They?
As the mint date is upon us, it’s time to review the minting achievements and their meaning. Certain perks and rewards will be distributed onto the NFT collection as traits. Mint achievements are part of the character traits that affect the rarity of the characters.
The minting achievements will be revealed post auction. However, they start at the time of the Dutch Auction. The Dutch Auction is a 48-hour event with a starting price of 4 ETH, which decays rapidly in the first hours and ends at the resting price, or sellout price, whichever comes first.
How does it all work?
Each minting milestone achievement comes with a chance for unique rewards. Civitas is supported and developed in Iceland, and if you have ever wanted to visit Iceland and hang out with the hip and cool game developers of Civitas, you’ll want to participate in the Dutch Auction. It will reward one out of the first 25 wallets who mint in the Dutch Auction with a claimable trait, “Víkingur” for the purchased character. This claimable trait is the one that will get you to see Iceland in all its glory.
Another trait available during the Dutch auction is the “Collector” trait. This trait is given to all mint wallets that mint at 1.5 ETH. Those wallets will receive a signed physical edition of “Civitas Character Collection Catalogue vol. 1 and a physical citizen token.
Let’s go over the traits and their rewards that span over all stages of the auction. Starting with the trait “Twin”, this will be randomly given out to 10 out of the first 250 mint wallets to win one airdropped Ninsiku NFTs. This is not a claimable trait, this trait will appear on your minted character if you were one of the 10 lucky winners along with the Ninsiku with the “Twin” trait.
Out of the first 1500 mint wallets, 100 randomly selected wallets will be given the trait “Dominus.” This trait gives the 100 winners a free mint for land and will be claimable once we launch the ability to purchase land.
Twenty-five randomly selected mint wallets, in the span of all stages, will be able to claim the trait “Token” and receive a physical Citizen Token.
We love good merch, and if luck is on your side, you could be one out of the 100 randomly selected mint wallets you could receive a Civitas swag bag, including the Civitas Character Collection Catalogue vol. 1 with the claimable trait “Swagger” on your NFT character.
Owning buildings will be a great bonus when we launch the game and the best way to get ahead is to participate. If you do, you could be one out of 150 randomly selected mint wallets to receive a limited edition building on your land with the claimable trait “Architect”.
Are you an artist or love to create and always dreamed of designing a character in a game? Well, In the span of all stages, one lucky minter will receive the chance to work with our Art Director to design a future character NFT for Civitas with the claimable trait “Artist”.
Finally, if you successfully bid in the event and your wallet holds a Shaman, prior to or during the Dutch Auction, you will be airdropped a limited edition building and your newly minted characters will have the “Hodler” trait. This is the only trait you can own on multiple characters.
How does owning multiple “Hodler” work?
The number of Shamans you have determines the amount of Hodler achievements you are eligible for. For example, if you own 5 Shamans and mint 6 characters, only 5 of those new characters will receive the Hodler trait. This is randomized; you cannot choose which of the new characters gets the trait.
Note that your Shamans will need to be on the wallet you intend to use for minting prior to the auction start. Any transfers of Shamans after the Chosen snapshot shortly before mint will not be eligible.
All traits will be revealed on the newly minted Characters sometime after mint. Each claimable trait will be presented with the claimed or unclaimed next to the trait, i.e., Víkingur (claimed) or Víkingur (unclaimed).
Unless stated otherwise, the traits must be claimed to enjoy the reward. If they go unclaimed, they will follow the NFT to the new holders once sold. Unclaimed traits on sold NFTs give the current NFT holder the power to either claim the trait or sell the NFT forward with the unclaimed trait. Previous owners cannot claim the trait after selling the NFT with the unclaimed trait.
