Welcome to the 10th edition of Civitas Monthly Review! February 2023 has been a fantastic period of growth and progress for our community, and we’re excited to share our updates with you. Partners
The month began with participation as guest speakers in #WaypointWeb3, a periodic Twitter Space event hosted by @AbugovIlya.
The theme of this particular panel was “Web3 Open Worlds”, and our team members @KristjanEinar and @gcrosali joined some of the biggest names in the industry, sharing their insights and experiences on the future of this rapidly evolving space. The event lasted more than an hour, and 410 people tuned in.

Our second Twitter Space this month was an enlightening roundtable discussion with our new friends from fableborne. We were thrilled to have our Chief Product Officer, @KentwByers, join industry experts to discuss the exciting topic of multiplayer experiences in web3 games. Together, they shared their insights and experiences with the panel and the many participants.
Community Spotlight
We’re delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our outstanding community members who has been awarded the prestigious title of the first and last Emperor of the Nomads for their exceptional contributions. Galli is an incredibly active and dedicated member of our Discord community and has been a valuable moderator, ensuring that our community remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
We’re thrilled to recognize Galli’s hard work and dedication by awarding them with some well-deserved perks, including a custom Chosen, free merch, and an invitation to meet the team. Their invaluable contributions to the community have truly made a difference, and it’s wonderful to see them receive the recognition they deserve.

Contest & Giveaways
Our partners at Merit Circle held a Valentine’s Day story contest, inviting participants to unleash their creative spirit and submit their stories. The winner of this contest will receive a special “mystery love box” with a sweep of one of their partners’ collections, worth 1 ETH.
Additionally, the community that generates the most comments will also be rewarded. @playcivitas is one of their participants, along with @Bullieverse, @WeArePlanetMojo, @GoonsNft, and @Footium. We’re excited to participate and hope to win!
Our partners at Shrapnel generously allocated 100 WL spots for the Civitas community, allowing the lucky winners to participate in the free mint of Sigma Containment Units! This is to celebrate the CIVITAS x SHRAPNEL collaboration.
It’s always great to see such partnerships between different communities and the opportunities they create for each other. Collaborations provide more opportunities for the community, giving them excitement about future events and something to look forward to.
Leaks. And lots of them.
We shared some exciting art leaks, including images of Dragonflies, Leaves, wood, and wooden axes and glimpses of pre-historic workshops and town halls.
But the most popular leak by far was a Tiktok video that many enjoyed. We’re excited to provide the community access to the Civitas pre-alpha later this year, and we decided to share some behind-the-scenes glimpses from the actual game client!

Celebrations
It’s important to take a moment to recognize the value of cherishing life’s precious moments and celebrating life’s joys amidst our busy schedules. Success is not just about achieving goals, but also about enjoying the journey.
In the spirit of celebration, we recently observed Galentine’s and Valentine’s Day. Additionally, Singles Awareness Day is a great opportunity to enjoy the day and take a break from the commercialized aspects of Valentine’s Day.
And speaking of celebration, we’re excited to announce that the “Token” Achievement is now available for claim by Chosen holders with this trait.
