We’re back with another Along with the Gods Hero Spotlight, featuring Patricia!

If you missed our previous edition featuring Lin, you can read it here:

“Patricia is an elite who’s responsible for the education of new nuns. She’s trying her best to help Nana become a formal nun.”

Patricia is a 5-star Earth Magic Hero and is one of the best Magic Heroes in Along with the Gods. She is a top-tier Hero in both PvP and PvE and will be one of your most useful all-round Heroes once you obtain and upgrade her. Patricia possesses several powerful characteristics and skills which elevate her to the top of both PvP and PvE lists.

Also important to note is that Patricia is a Combination Material Hero for Alexis, a meta defining Hero, in the Temple of Heroes. This can raise a dilemma for players who have to choose between keeping Patricia or using her to obtain a copy of Alexis. We would recommend keeping at least the first copy of Patricia for use, rather than using her to combine for Alexis straight away.

How to Obtain Patricia

Goddess Token options, featuring Patricia

Patricia can be obtained randomly through Hero Scroll Summons and Synthesis. Mythical Hero Scrolls, which exclusively hold natural 5-star Heroes, will have the highest chance of Patricia appearing.

There is a guaranteed method of obtaining Patricia though. You can purchase a Goddess Token, only available once per account, which allows you select a Hero from a set list of natural 5-star Heroes. She’s a notch above the other Heroes available from the Token so selecting her is straightforward and highly recommended.

Patricia Skill Breakdown

Patricia possesses several highly valuable Skills and Passives which set her apart from her peers, combining powerful debilitating debuffs with high damage to crush the opposition.

Patricia’s Active Skill, Proper Guidance, is extremely powerful with 360% damage and viable as a lead-off Skill for your Arena teams. Not only does it deal a large amount of damage, it also increases the targets’ skill cooldown time by 1 turn as well as reducing their Magic Power by 100% for 4 seconds. Getting this Active Skill off first in Arena can be huge as it will leave your opponents incredibly weak and vulnerable, especially if they’re relying on Magic Heroes.

Patricia’s first Auto, Light’s Lesson, does 320% Magic damage and decreases the opponent’s Attack Speed by 50% for 7 seconds and Acquired Energy by 40% for 10 seconds. This is a huge setback for your opponent and will greatly slow down any retaliation.

Patricia’s second Auto Skill, Potential Knowledge, applies 420% Magic damage to a single target with the highest Magic Power. It also Silences the target for 5 seconds, rendering them unable to use any Skills, and also acquires 30 Energy.

Patricia’s first passive, Tolerance Power, gives her a 25% chance with each basic attack to reduce her Skill cooldown by 1 turn. This can become extremely powerful when combined with Attack Speed boosts and teammate abilities such as Styx’s cooldown reduction or Alexis’ Leader Skill which grants a 20% chance to reduce cooldown with each attack.

Patricia’s second Passive, Iron Will, increases her Magic Power by 20%, providing a handy boost to her overall power.

Choosing Awakenings for Patricia

I: Magic Power
Straightforward choice as this will increase the amount of damage Patricia does with her attacks.

II: Personal preference between Poison and Magical Wall
You can make a choice between Poison and Magical Wall depending on your preference. Poison will give a chance to inflict the Poison effect with each attack and can increase your overall damage output whereas Magical Wall will provide a shield that protects from Magic damage, increasing your overall durability.

III: Attack Speed
This will increase Patricia’s overall damage output and also synergizes well with her passive which has a chance to reduce Skill cooldown with each basic attack.

IV: Magic Power
Another straightforward choice, this will increase the amount of damage Patricia does with her attacks.

V: Personal Choice between Increasing and Decreasing Accuracy
There’s no right or wrong choice here. Some players prefer increasing their team’s Accuracy to ensure more damage lands whereas others prefer reducing an opponent’s Accuracy to ensure greater survivability. You can choose whichever you want to prioritize.

Keep in mind that you’ll most likely be using multiple Magic Heroes in this metagame, especially in PvP, and that their Awakening team boosts stack. Some players would argue that reducing your opponent’s Accuracy is more effective as it amplifies any Evasion boosts (Accuracy reduction runs off of a separate calculation) you may have on your team, plus the fact that you can get Accuracy boosts from Rune sub-stats and Accessories.

Choosing Runes for Patricia

Patricia should be Runed with the goal of increasing her overall damage output and getting her Skills off as quickly and often as possible. These are the best Rune types you can use on Patricia:

Vampire Runes are a solid choice for Patricia, a set of two will grant her a 20% Vampire Effect boost. This will increase her longevity and with Patricia’s high damage output she’ll receive plenty of health recovery in return. Magic Heroes often utilize and benefit greatly from Vampire Runes due to their natural frailty. Vampire Runes are incredibly useful in PvE situations and decent in PvP.

Warrior Runes are one of the best Rune types in the game and are a very solid option for Patricia. A set of two Warrior Runes increase your Inability Effect Resistance by 50%. Inability Effects are deadly, especially in Arena where hitting first is of the utmost importance.

Evasion Runes are a solid choice on Patricia as she lacks overall longevity until she gets Transcended. This will allow Patricia to avoid attacks and last longer in battles. A common combination for many Magic Heroes is two Evasion Runes with two Warrior Runes.

Philosopher Runes are a PvP focused Rune type, which are still useful in PvE situations, that give you a 10% boost to your starting Energy levels for a set of 2. In the current PvP meta where battles can be determined simply by whose DPS Magic Hero can get their Skills off first, Philosopher Runes are incredibly powerful, especially when multiple or all team members possess a set.

Many top PvP players consider Philosopher Runes the best type of Rune. If you’re trying to maximize your performance in PvP, equip Patricia with a set of Philosopher Runes. Warrior Runes synergize incredibly well with Philosopher Runes as it drastically increases the likelihood you’ll get your Skills off quickly and uninterrupted.

If you haven’t Transcended Patricia yet, especially to 66 where Magic Heroes receive a 30% HP boost, you may find her to be a bit squishy. In that case you can change her Rune I slot to a HP Rune to increase her durability.

Desirable Rune Stat Bonuses:

I: Magic Power/HP
II: Magic Power
III: Attack Speed
IV: Attack Speed

Complementary sub-stats you should be aiming for on your Runes are: Attack Speed, Magic Power and Accuracy. Having some HP and other stats such as Energy Acquired in the sub-stats can also be helpful.

Choosing Accessories for Patricia

The best Accessories for Patricia are a set of Divine or Immortal Accessories. However Divine and Immortal Accessories are incredibly rare and difficult to obtain, especially as a full set. Most players will find themselves equipping Patricia with a set of Magic Accessories until they can acquire Divine accessories.

The stat bonuses you should primarily be looking out for on your Accessories are: Accuracy, Attack Speed, Magic Power, Physical Defense and Critical Rate/Damage.

Using Patricia and Getting the Most Out of Her

Patricia is a well-rounded Hero who you can rely on across virtually every game mode in Along with the Gods from Scenario and Infinite Tower to Arena.

When Transcended she becomes a major damage nuke and can hang with other Magic DPS powerhouses in the game such as Alexis. Patricia’s main competitor for a spot on your roster is Nia, a fellow Earth Magic Hero. While Nia is a strong Hero in her own right, Patricia is clearly the superior option. Patricia has superior damage output from her Skills, better effects, better passives and performs better in a variety of situations. The PvP meta right now features many Magic Heroes such as Alexis, Oliver and co. who Patricia matches up well against.

Patricia is a stand-out in the Kraken Raid which is impressive given that Kraken has high Magic Defense, and is also a powerful pick in the Python and Pantahras Raids.

You can read our guides on the Kraken and Pantahras Raids here:

In the Arena, you’ll use her as your primary or secondary Magic DPS. As such, you should set her first or second in your Skill Order. Patricia works well as both an lead-off hitter and as a sweeper with her Skills. See which slot Patricia works better in for you and adjust according to the other Heroes on your team and their Skills.

Patricia deserves her acclaim as one of the best all-round Heroes in the game. If you manage to obtain her make sure to upgrade ands utilize her, you won’t be disappointed!
