Want that NFT but think it’s a bit much, make an offer!

PlayDapp Gamers, it’s time to shine a light on one of PlayDapp MarketPLAce’s best features! We’re talking about MarketPLAce Offers!

The PlayDapp MarketPLAce is chock full of great NFT items. And with more joining soon, such as League of Kingdoms Land, Along with the Gods: Knights of the Dawn, and more, our marketplace is going to heat up!

Buying and selling on the PlayDapp MarketPLAce is going to get bigger and better! Of course, this influx of NFT will mean sometimes some will get listed for a price that is, well, ‘over-optimistic’.

If you think the NFT is worth this then cool…

We know that some people may love their NFT, and big ETH prices demonstrate that, but if it’s listed for sale then they want to sell right? So, how can you pry this NFT out of their hands?

Easy, with an offer!

Read on and we’ll take you through all the steps to get an offer in for any NFT on the PlayDapp MarketPLAce, awesome right?

There’s a lot to think about when making an offer. Are you going to low-ball it and see if you can get a steal? Are you going to chip in with just a little bit less than what it's listed for? It’s a balancing act, making sure you get that sweet sweet NFT! However there’s one part that is a no-brainer, and that’s the process of actually offering to buy that special NFT!

Making an offer

Once you’ve decided exactly which NFT you want it’s incredibly easy to make an offer. Just click the “Make an Offer” button and you’ll be taken to the offer page.

Once you’re on the “Make Offer” page you’ll see some crucial details. Split into two sections. It might look like there’s a lot going on here, but don't worry we're going to walk through it all. No problem!

Section 1 — My Balance

In the “My Balance” area, you’ll find all the associated details of your account. Your wallet’s ETH balance is here, as is the PLA (the native Token of PlayDapp) balance. You’ll also see the W-Ethereum (Wrapped Ether / W-ETH) balance here. Want to know a bit more about W-ETH, we’ve got you covered, check at the end of this section.

Here’s an important bit of information. You can only make offers on PlayDapp MarketPLAce in either PLA or W-ETH.

Luckily, converting ETH to W-ETH is super easy and it’s set at 1:1. You can use the My Balance area to convert ETH to W-ETH. Simply fill in the amount of ETH you want to convert to W-ETH in the convert box and then hit conversion, pay the associated gas fee, and then you'll have your W-ETH ready to use.

Of course, you can always convert W-ETH back to ETH by doing the reverse.

What is W-ETH?

Wrapped Ether (W-ETH) is a cryptocurrency (ERC-20) used to bid and offer digital products in dApp services including PlayDapp.

W-ETH and ETH are exchanged 1:1, so they can be exchanged with each other at any time. (However, gas fees are incurred when exchanged.)

If you are curious, visit weth.io for more information.

Section 2— My Offer

The “My Offer” area is really simple. All you need to do is decide what you will offer: PLA or W-ETH, the amount you’re going to offer, and the time in which the NFT owner has to accept the offer.

My Offer amount

In the top drop-down, you’ll be able to choose between PLA & W-ETH. Simply toggle the option to the one you want and then enter the amount you are prepared to pay. We’ve even made it super simple for you. You can’t enter an amount that is more than you have.

Offer Expiration

In the lower drop-down, you’ll be able to choose how long the offer will be open. We’ve shown them all at the same time in the image above just so you can see it in one go.

When it comes to how long you want to keep the offer open currently there are three options. These are One Week, Two Weeks, or One Month. If you want to see more flexibility in this, then get in touch, use any of our communities to reach out!

Once you've made your mind up about the amount and how long it’ll be valid for then hit that “Confirm Offer” button!

Submitting an offer

Once you hit that enticing “Confirm Offer” button, the fun begins.

The MarketPLAce will begin to authorize the account for the offer, at which point you should start receiving requests from your chosen wallets, you can see MetaMask’s process in the below screenshots.

just confirm and sign to let it all run smoothly.

Once you’ve authorized and signed, the PlayDapp MarketPLAce will handle the actual transaction automatically. You’ll be greeted with the confirmation screen.

After this, all you’ve got to do is sit back, relax, and wait to see if you're offer has been accepted!

The owner of the NFT will receive an email informing them of your offer and they’ll see it in the My Account area, under My Offer — Offers received. You can see how it looks in the image below.

My Offer hub

Canceling offers

Of course, you don’t need to stop at just one offer! You can cast offers around as much as you want. Trying to guarantee that sweet NFT becomes yours. But what happens if you’ve made a couple of offers and want to keep tabs on them?

It’s easy, in the My Account area, under My Offer — Offers made you’ll see all the offers you have made, any that can’t be fulfilled (as they are sold or rejected) will be greyed out.

Don’t want the NFT anymore? Then simply hit the cancel button, you’ll trigger the final confirmation check, the NFT will be displayed and you can confirm or reject.

This screen is the last chance to change your mind.

Click yes to cancel the offer but be warned you can’t undo this, so make sure you’re sure. Once you do your Offers Made history will update and you’ll see that it now shows as canceled.

Accepting Offers

What about if you’ve had an offer made on one of your NFT? Provided that you’ve submitted an email, you’ll get notified of any offers made on your NFT. Even if you haven't you can always check them in the My Account area.

All your NFT with offers can be found in My Offer — Offers received.

Accepting an offer is incredibly easy. Just click the “Accept” button. If you haven’t authorized the marketplace, you’ll need to do that as well but it’s a simple process.

Once you’ve accepted the offer, you'll see that the NFT moves to “Progressing” and then finally, once the NFT has been transferred it will be shown as “Accepted” and then that’s it. The NFT is now sold and you should receive the amount of W-ETH or PLA that you accepted.*

  • Note if the offer was made in W-ETH you’ll need to convert the W-ETH back to ETH, as is the nature of W-ETH & ETH.
