Blockchain service platform PlayDapp (CEO Brian Choi) announced on the 6th that it plans to unveil metaverse games currently being developed based on NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) and metaverse convergence technology in the first half of the year.
The metaverse game “PlayDapp Town (tentative name),” which will be introduced by PlayDapp, is a casual genre game optimized for the metaverse game platform “Roblox”.
In ‘PlayDapp Town’, NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) acquired from other games will be used as game coupons. Allowing players to decorate game characters or develop them to be used as items necessary for various gaming activities.
In March, PlayDapp announced its plan to enter the metaverse game market, starting with “Roblox,” which has 400 million users worldwide. PlayDapp is paying attention to the concept of “Metaverse,” which has quickly emerged as a megatrend in the non-contact era.

Meanwhile, PlayDapp plans to supply content to Avatar-based social network service (SNS) platforms in addition to Metaverse games and is preparing to apply for patent applications for NFT, Metaverse convergence technology, and business models with its patent law office ‘Inventgo’.
