PlayDapp enters the ‘Metaverse’ game market incorporating NFT technology.

Blockchain service platform PlayDapp (CEO Brian Choi) announced on the 15th of March a project roadmap based on PlayDapp’s research into NFT and metaverse convergence technology.

PlayDapp has seen the rise of the “Metaverse” which has emerged as a megatrend during the non-contact era. PlayDapp now plans to enter the “Metaverse” game market using blockchain technology NFT (non-fungible token — also known as non-replaceable tokens).

Metaverse is a three-dimensional virtual world, a combination of meta meaning virtual and universe meaning real world. In Metaverse, hundreds of millions of users around the world can create their own avatars, communicate, buy and sell game items and more.

PlayDapp is paying close attention to the rapid growth of Metaverse-based game platform Roblox and Naver Z’s virtual reality avatar-based social network service ZEPETO, and will also collaborate with The Sandbox, through a recently signed strategic partnership agreement.

Roblox, which has 400 million users, has become the most popular application among teenagers in the U.S. ZEPETO has attracted 200 million users from all over the world to the metaverse, becoming a hot commodity in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

On March 2nd PlayDapp signed a contract with the patent law office “INVENTGO” (https://www.inventgoip.com/attorneys) securing PlayDapp’s position as a leading blockchain technology company. As well as furthering the user base expansion of PlayDapp’s blockchain game based NFT exchange, “playdapp.com”, currently in operation. This action will help to increase the range of NFTs served.

‘INVENTGO’ is led by patent attorney Ryu Won-rim, a technology patent expert in fields such as blockchain and artificial intelligence, and recently of Naver and Law Firm Kim & Chang. It is expected that Kim Tae-hyun, a patent attorney in IT, game, and business model (BM) as well as patent application, patent infringement analysis, patent infringement analysis, patent trial and litigation for 15 years, will be hired as a representative attorney aiding with PlayDapp’s model patent applications.
