PlayDapp Participates in the “W3C HTML5 Conference 2020”

On the 19th of October, PlayDapp attended the ‘W3C HTML5 Conference 2020: Web Solution Online Exhibition’.

The W3C HTML5 Conference is a conference where the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA, Director Kim Seok-hwan) and the Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Choi Ki-young) look into the present and future of the latest technologies and services based on Web standards to spread the Korean Web standard (HTML5).

The W3C HTML5 conference, marking its sixth anniversary this year, is a large-scale offline event attended by more than 600 people every year. However, this year it became online-only, to prevent the spread of Corona 19.

PlayDapp was joined by several notable speakers across the sector

The conference consisted of two keynote speeches, three sessions, and nine topic presentations. With keynote speeches from, ’Whale Browser’ on “Evolving into a Web Platform” (Leader Kim Hyo Naver) and’ the Status and Future Plans for Plugin Improvement of Private 500 Websites’ (KISA Team Leader Young-Joon Choi).

The first session introduced web-based AI and Blockchain under the theme of “New Attempts at the Web,” while the second session “Application of the Web” presented the scalability of the webRTC technology, which can be used directly from a web browser without any separate installation. Finally, the third session consisted of a time to learn about the “Web FrameWork” required for the development of Web services.

During the first session, “New Attempts on the Web”. PlayDapp presented its development ethos. Sharing a presentation on “PlayDapp NFT Blockchain Technology and HTML5” Focusing on its newly unveiled 3D Pinball 3D — Wild West Pinball.

SuperTree CEO Sung-wone Choi & Developer Seungmo ‘Mangrove’ Choi present on PlayDapp’s development ethos

The first half of the presentation was held by Supertree CEO Sung-wone Choi, who is leading the PlayDapp project. With the second, development focus, half being given by Seungmo ‘Mangrove’ Choi, lead developer of PlayDapp’s 3D pinball project.

Mangrove announced that it is currently developing a pinball 3D game based on HTML5 and plans to provide the game service through Facebook. For more information on the pinball 3D game Mangrove is making, check out the developer diary.
