PlayDapp secures global rights for ‘ASTA’ MMORPG

MMORPG ‘ASTA’ will be upcycled with blockchain technology for a global audience.

PlayDapp expanding its development and service business from mobile and web into online PC MMOs

Blockchain game service platform PlayDapp has secured worldwide distribution and service rights to ASTA Remastered (tentative name). With plans to introduce blockchain technology to the PC online MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) after signing a contract with Blockchain game developer SuperTree.

ASTA, which was serviced through NHN Entertainment for about two years in 2013, is a blockbuster PC online MMORPG and received 18 billion Won in investment over 5 years from Polygon Games. The Asian Fantasy world style, high-quality graphics, and game theme song “Western Dialect” produced by famous artist Yang Bang-eon drew attention during the previous service.

Currently, IP licenses will be secured from SuperTree, a blockchain game developer. And, PC MMO + Blockchain versions of ‘ASTA Remaster (tentative name)’ will be developed. Global services will be carried out through PlayDapp.

PlayDapp plans to introduce NFT (non-fungible token) blockchain technology to PC MMORPG ‘ASTA’, which boasts vast content and high-quality graphics. PlayDapp will realize the digital assetization of game items facilitate NFT transactions between global users via the PlayDapp NFT MarketPLAce.
