With over 1 Million pre-registers in Korea already, across Google Play Store and Apple App store. PlayDapp’s global service will bring this proven game to the masses.

Mobile action MMORPG Dragon Blood, released in Korea on August 18th, continues its popularity in a global launch as a blockchain game, with NFT (Non Fungible Token) technology applied.

Blockchain service platform “PlayDapp” (CEO Brian Choi) announced on the 23rd that it has signed a global rights contract for Action MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) ‘Dragon Blood’, developed by Korean veteran game developer Nextend, currently serviced locally by SuperTree.

With this contract, PlayDapp will apply the PlayDapp SDK to Dragon Blood, enabling key game items to be converted to NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). Unlike the domestic version, the overseas version will be serviced as a blockchain game, this enables true Player Ownership.

The PlayDapp SDK is an application programming interface (API) type of blockchain service solution developed and provided by PlayDapp. If the service is applied, any game can be turned into a dApp with simple interworking, and functions such as NFT item creation (Mint), destruction (Burn), and trade (Transfer) can be applied to game content.

Dragon Blood is an action MMORPG that lets players engage in large-scale battles, via end game “Dragon’ weapons. And features essential RPG elements such as character growth, dragon development, and item production. With over 1 Million pre-orders Dragon Blood’s release saw it achieve the top spot in popularity across app markets such as Google Play Store and Apple App store in Korea and has been performing well since it’s initial release in Korea on August 18th.

“We have fully verified the playability, stability, and balance of Dragon Blood through a domestic service. We are excited by the ability to launch a globally serviced version of Dragon Blood. One that will have blockchain technology applied. A global service that will introduced within 4Q of this year.” — PlayDapp
