PlayDapp Signs Partnership with KB Kookmin Card to Build Metaverse and NFT services

[April 25, 2022] Blockchain service platform PlayDapp announced on the 25th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with KB Kookmin Card (CEO, Chang Kwon Lee) to develop digital content using metaverse and NFT technology.
Through this strategic business partnership, PlayDapp will establish metaverse services with LiivMate, a financial “My Data” service platform operated by KB Kookmin Card, one of the largest financial companies in Korea, and promote wider cooperation to expand blockchain technology-based services such as the development of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) that combine the virtual and physical worlds.
NFT refers to a technology that grants rarity and ownership to digital assets, emerging alongside the concept of the metaverse, which has caught on rapidly due to the spread of contactless interaction. Due to the unique characteristics of each NFT, it is a technology that verifies and secures ownership of digital artworks, photos, videos, and game items, enables transactions, and is receiving close attention from Millennials and Gen Z, who express their individuality through their consumption habits.
PlayDapp opened the Roblox-based metaverse, “PlayDapp Land,” last December and introduced a service linking metaverse and NFT services to 700 million Roblox users worldwide. Recently, PlayDapp has been actively developing blockchain, metaverse, and NFT services for partners, such as “Everland,” a renowned theme park under the ownership of Samsung C&T, and “Mom’s Touch,” which has the largest chain of stores in the Korean burger franchise market.
Under the partnership, PlayDapp and KB Kookmin Card will jointly build the “LiivMate Metaverse (tentatively named)” in the second half of this year, providing various benefits and services, in the form of engaging mini-games that will simultaneously provide financial education to children through to young adults. In addition, PlayDapp will provide user-centered metaverse services by introducing various digital content linked to other PlayDapp partnerships and developments.
