Hello, this is Ryan from PlayDapp. The PlayDapp Town NFT presale is full of awesome NFT, spread across Ethereum and Polygon. I hope you’re as excited as I am. In this guide, we’ll tell you about the basics you’ll need to take part in the PlayDapp Town NFT Presale don’t worry it’s really simple.
Presale basics
Make sure you use the same wallet to buy your ETH and to connect to the PlayDapp Town Playz NFT presale.
You’ll need a Wallet
Across the PlayDapp ecosystem, we support MetaMask and Portis Wallet. You can see guides on setting up these wallets in the below links.
You’ll need Cryptocurrency
To buy PlayDapp Town Playz NFT, you’ll need Ethereum, a cryptocurrency, you can also use PayPal to purchase the packs. For users in Korea, you’ll also be able to use PayCoin. For buying on the Polygon network you’ll need MATIC the native Token for the network.
Guide to buying MATIC (Polygon network token)
There’s a number of ways to acquire MATIC, but we’ll take you through the process on Binance.
- Log in or Create a Binance account — Full details on creating an account can be found here. https://www.binance.com/en/support/faq/115003764911
- Use your bitcoin or chosen cryptocurrency to exchange for MATIC.
- Navigate to the convert & OTC Portal (the easiest way to exchange one crypto to another) https://www.binance.com/en/convert
- You'll see an easy-to-use grid like this one.
- Choose the amount of ETH (or any other owned and swappable token) to switch to MATIC.
- You’ll see the amounts you’ll receive and spend.
- once you’re happy with the amounts, confirm it.
- You’ll have the ability to refresher the trade or accept the amount shown.
- If you’re happy, confirm one last time.
- Congratulations- you now own some Matic!

Guide to buying ETH (Ethereum)
There are many different ways to buy Ethereum, not only in terms of sites to use, such as Binance or Coinbase but also in methods — such as using Wallet Dapps, like MetaMask.
You can use Ethereum.org’s handy “Where to buy ETH” web page to find a site or wallet that is supported in your country.
We’ll be taking you through one example for buying ETH, for this we’ll be using Coinbase.
- You’ll need to sign in or create your Coinbase account. And make sure details are supplied, such as purchasing information.
- From there select buy/sell on the upper right-hand side.
- Select buy and select the Asset (ETH) that you want to buy.
- Enter the amount of Fiat you want to use to buy ETH.
- Select the payment method.
- Click preview buy to confirm the amounts (you can make changes by clicking back).
- Make sure you’re happy with the details and all is correct. If it is click buy to purchase your crypto.
