What a year for PlayDapp
2020 was full of awesome! Check it all out in our Year Review!
PlayDapp has had a massive year! From new game launches to service expansion and of course the biggest Token story! Read on to find out what it was that made this year such a milestone, and what’s coming in the next year!
We’re looking back at this year’s biggest stories, ones that had the biggest impact on PlayDapp as a whole. First up, a massive undertaking, and a commitment to gaming and the spirit of NFT trading!
That’s right it’s our relaunch and revamp of CryptoDozer into CryptoDozer 2.0!
We took CryptoDozer into its 2.0 phase, this created awesome new gameplay, trading of NFT DozerDolls, and more variety to what you do during the game. It was an important step in helping to further the PlayDapp vision of an interconnected gaming ecosystem.
During this, we ran an extensive conversion campaign, moving player Assets to the new version, and giving rewards to players that had been with us from the start.
CryptoDozer headed to Japan!
Sticking with CryptoDozer news and events, this year we committed to launching a Japan-specific LINE Blockchain version of CryptoDozer.
Our flagship game, CryptoDozer will be available in Japan thanks to a partnership with Line. It’s an exciting development and another step toward our aims of being chain agnostic, and games and experience focused.
It’s great to be moving closer to our chief vision, especially with our flagship game!
PlayDapp’s Metablockchain moves forward
PlayDapp made moves with our ambition to truly use and operate ‘Metablockchain’. With a technical agreement being signed with DSRV LABS (Nonce).
This agreement helps PlayDapp to realize and work on bringing experiences to as many people as possible. It also allows for work on security across devices, validator services and we see this as a stepping-stone for the expansion of PlayDapp’s global ecosystem.
PlayDapp gets ready for the future with ETH 2.0 validation
As we see the future of Ethereum getting closer and closer, we recognize that Ethereum 2.0’s launch is the beginning of its transformation into one of the world’s largest Proof of Stake protocol (PoS).
This pivot by Ethereum should radically improve scalability a continual point of pain for both us as developers and you as users.
For PlayDapp one of the most significant aspects of Ethereum 2.0 is its ability to work well in a lightweight environment. With PlayDapp’s experience and expertise in developing traditional mobile games, this is a great step. PlayDapp remains committed to developing dApps that fit our vision.
PlayDapp’s MarkertPLAce gets an awesome new addition
PlayDapp released a beta version of its “Storefront”, enabling 3rd party developers to easily register NFT game items.
The new ‘Storefront’ function will enable more NFT game item trading, allowing users to freely trade NFT Items, with PlayDapp PLA Tokens. It’s a great step to allowing more and more experiences and more variety.
It’s an exciting step, not only allowing more Assets to be sold and more ways for players to earn with the PlayDapp ecosystem but helping us to widen the entire ecosystem.
After all, with a dedicated storefront for developers, the process has never been easier to become involved in the future of gaming.
PlayDapp’s MarketPLAce expands its NFT usage.
PlayDapp managed to secure agreements to service additional NFT items via our MarketPLAce and with PLA, the native token of PlayDapp.
Soon to be joining the world of PlayDapp, The Sandbox and League of Kingdoms will both utilize PLA to trade NFT created assets, as well as a planned presence on the PlayDapp MarketPLAce.
It’s exciting to see more projects commit to being part of the world of PlayDapp.
For League of Kingdoms, the partnership between NOD Games and PlayDapp allows NFT Land, created in ‘League of Kingdoms’, to be traded between users using the PlayDapp token PLA.
For The Sandbox Game, PlayDapp will provide its PlayDapp MarketPLAce (playdapp.com) service, enabling global users to freely trade NFT items created in The Sandbox.
PlayDapp launched two brand new deep mobile RPG games
It was an exciting time for gaming with PlayDapp. As we globally released two new RPGs. Both with planned blockchain upcycling.
Along with the Gods: Knights of the Dawn, is a deep RPG, with an awesome story presented in a graphic novel style.
Experience deep, rewarding RPG gameplay and customization with the unique Rune system and vast array of items and item customization options.
Take part in a grand, epic adventure with an unforgettable cast of characters in Scenario mode, presented in a beautiful comic-book style.
Battle a huge variety of enemies and epic eye-popping bosses.
With Plans to apply our blockchain expertise, Along with the Gods will be another fantastic interconnected blockchain experience.
Soul Seeker: The 6th Knights also launched this year by PlayDapp, joining the world of gaming experiences offered. Again with planned blockchain upcycling, PlayDapp is excited to see this game grow

Another awesome game will soon join PlayDapp’s ranks
PlayDapp secured worldwide distribution and service rights to ASTA Remastered (tentative name). With plans to introduce blockchain technology to the PC online MMORPG.
This acquisition made waves with the hard-core fans of the game and was soon picked up with global coverage!
PlayDapp plans to introduce NFT (non-fungible token) blockchain technology to PC MMORPG ‘ASTA’. PlayDapp will realize the digital assetization of game items facilitate NFT transactions between global users via the PlayDapp NFT MarketPLAce.
PlayDapp made strides into the world of HTML Gaming
Wild West’ is a brand-new take on pinball, with rich 3D graphics. Players will use their skill to score points, by “Shooting” targets, climbing mountains, and taming the wild west. Players will need awesome flipper skills, and to hit the targets to survive and earn points.
Wild West Pinball, is the first step by PlayDapp to expand our gaming experiences into a wider area than blockchain and traditional mobile audiences.
With plans to add rewarding experiences to the game for those within the PlayDapp ecosystem, it will be an exciting time to offer the diverse PlayDapp portfolio.
PlayDapp’s Token PLA gets its moment in the sun!
Perhaps the biggest news of the year was the listing of PLA, PlayDapp’s native token.
This was the culmination of a series of hard work, by many people in the PlayDapp team. Thanks to the efforts, of everyone, we can now say PlayDapp’s PLA token is listed on one of the most trusted digital asset exchanges, Upbit.
Everyone at PlayDapp is delighted to be listed on one of the best exchanges in the world! We’re excited and ready for this next step in the journey. Our aim of an interconnected gaming ecosystem is getting closer, with big milestones such as this being ticked off!
The future of PlayDapp!
2020 was a heck of a year, and the above is just a small sliver of all that was going on and all that PlayDapp achieved. 2021 is shaping up to be even bigger, and we can’t wait to realize the vision we have and bring even more people into the PlayDapp ecosystem.
In the next year, PlayDapp has several plans that will come to fruition and several projects that we cant wait to share. While some we have to keep close to our chest, we can talk a little about others.
2021 will see the launch of new blockchain-upcycled games, Along with the Gods: Knights of the Dawn aims to be transformed into a full blockchain experience. As does Soul Seeker: The 6th Knights. Our recently acquired IP ASTA will be getting some serious attention during 2021. So stay tuned for more news about that as it comes.
We’re super excited to see CryptoDozer make strides into Japan on the LINE Blockchain, it should be an awesome achievement to open on another chain!
With the recent addition to the PlayDapp MartketPLAce, in the shape of a Developer Storefront, we’re slowly getting all the building blocks in place. And 2021 will be no different, with more development planned, new features, and plans to expand.
Of course, we have more in the works for the whole PlayDapp ecosystem, it’s a work in progress and one that we can’t wait to see grow.
