Lets Talk CardanoCraft Beta, Block by Block
Welcome to the CardanoCraft Beta! Your spot to build, explore, destroy, and enjoy a voxel world built on the Minetest opensource engine.
In short the CardanoCraft Beta brings events and activities based upon NFTs to a Minecraft esc world. This world is open to anyone that wants to participate in a respectable and friendly manner.
Now lets dive into how you can participate 👇
🔨 Block 1 - Build and Destroy
It’s time to start punching trees and building dirt cabins with the first block of CC Beta. This period is all about getting your bearings in this new world by testing out gameplay mechanics, asking questions, and maybe even stumbling into a few bugs (feel free to report these). This will be a fun unstructured time to well, build and destroy things.
This block will last from 1/13/22 → 1/16/22. We plan to reset the server after this period so don’t expect any of your builds to last!
🧱 Block 2 - ShadowRealms Build Off
Once everyone’s oriented with the Minetest engine and the mods installed on the CC Beta server we are going to do something really epic…
ShadowRealms Dragon Pack holders (a mint exclusive to PlayerMint Founders) will have around a week to build a habitat/home for one of the Dragon Pack characters. For example a lava hut for Iron Gramps or a creepy cabin for Leather Face. At the end of this week the PlayerMint and ShadowRealm team will choose a few top submissions for the community to then vote on. The highest voted submission will win some crypto prizes.
Here is that standard breakdown of the build off:
- Register for build off
- Be given a plot for build off (piece of world only you can edit)
- Start building!
- End build off and team to choose top submissions
- Community to vote on top submissions
The dates and guidelines for the build off will be provided ahead of registration. We are expecting to reset the server after this period so don’t expect for your builds to last.
📜 Block 3 - Plot Registration
Once the build off is complete we will dive into a bit of PlayerMint Founder NFT utility! We will be doing the beta equivalent of providing Founder holders access to their own plot of land in the server, something only they can edit. These plots will not be tied to a new NFT like in the full launch of CardanoCraft but rather will be given to folks who have verified they own a Founder NFT in the PlayerMint Discord. For as long as they hold that Founder they will have access to their beta plot.
Receiving a plot will follow a very similar format to the ShadowRealms build off. Once Founders have plots we will run fun events and activities in the server!
