GNA Company, CEO Jason Choi (최지웅), announced on the 15th the signature of a publishing contract for its game marketing service, ‘Playio’, with DECO, Inc., a specialized game app marketing company in Japan, CEO Hideki Hasegawa (長谷川秀樹).

‘Playio’, currently in South Korea and the United States, is a game marketing service and a playtime rewards app. It offers game companies specialized marketing campaigns through Playio and provides gamers with benefits based on their time invested in the game.

After being first released in South Korea in 2021, Playio achieved rapid growth and recorded one million downloads on the Google Play Store in early 2023. Playio currently boasts a user base of 3 million gamers, with over 8 million downloads.

In September 2022, Playio was introduced to the global tech service platform ‘Product Hunt’, announcing its entry into the U.S. market. Now, with the publishing contract with DECO, Playio aims to strengthen its position in the Japanese market. Leveraging DECO’s differentiated expertise with more than 200 campaign operations per month and local publishing capabilities, the two companies plan to continue their mutual cooperation.

GNA Company’s CEO, Jason Choi, stated, “We successfully concluded a publishing contract with DECO, recognizing the potential of the Playio service and the high possibility of success in entering the Japanese market. We plan to build a cooperative relationship with DECO to continue the success path of Playio in Japan, leveraging the capabilities that have led to rapid growth in Korea.”

DECO’s CEO, Hideki Hasegawa, commented, “Playio, which has rapidly grown in Korea and gained strong support from gamers, is a service that did not exist before. We believe it can provide significant value in the Japanese market. Through cooperation with GNA Company, a play time rewards platform, based on our game app marketing expertise, we will strive to provide more value to game developers and users for a successful service.”
